As expected from Coleman
I have ordered several different brands of small flashlights from Amazon. The reason for ordering them is they keep breaking down in one form or the other, bulb doesn't work, flashlight separates, on/off button doesn't work, on and on. Having been disappointed with reordering continuously, I began searching for products with brand names from the USA. So for a few dollars more I ordered this Coleman flashlight. Instead of arriving in a cheaply made flimsy package, it arrived in packaging that was sturdy, sealed and designed well. This is a clue of all good products. Quality packaging, indicates quality products. The batteries that came with it were simple to install, the flashlight was simple to operate. It has two beams. Low and high. the high one is 325 lumens which emits light to about 15-20' in the dark. I'm willing to pay a few dollars more for better products with reputable names. They last longer, and are built better.

Nice bright light in a slim package
I have a deaf and visually impaired foster puppy. I use this light to signal him in com light or dark. It fits easily in a back pocket when not in use, and seems fairly economic in its battery usage.

New/not new
Bought 2 of these lights as I needed an inexpensive one for general household needs and wanted a backup. On arrival it was immediately noted that one light had been a return. The packing was torn open and the 3 normally included Duracell AA batteries were gone. The 2nd light was new, unopened and had batteries. I used batteries lying around and fired up the used light and it works fine. The beam appears tight without a great amount of spotlighting and was bright on the wall about 80ft away it was pointed at. Low beam to high beam has a noticeable difference. I can see using a low beam inside the house and a high beam outside. If you're looking for an inexpensive AA battery (3 of them) for light use I think this light will work well.

A qualidade do produto é visível. O corpo da lanterna é construído em alumínio, e revestido por quatro "arestas" plásticas, para proteção. As extremidades (tampa da bateria e face da lanterna) são emborrachadas. O produto leve mas, ao mesmo tempo, robusto. Possui dois modos de iluminação; em dois níveis distintos (fraco e forte) de potência, acionados no mesmo botão, conforme a posição do interruptor. A embalagem informa a potência de 75 lúmens; e a distância de 50 metros de alcance; quanto a isso, a iluminação que proporciona é mais do que satisfatória, no entanto a distância de 50 metros é um pouco exagerada. Acredito que a luz alcance até mais que 50 metros, mas o foco "útil" está mais próximo dos 30 metros. O que deixou a desejar foi a entrega realizada pela JADLOG; sempre em atraso e com entregadores despreparados.

Great simple mode flashlight.
I own a lot of flashlights and most of the modern ones have complicated circuit boards with micro processors and or micro chips to control modes electronically and sometimes hundreds of tiny electronic parts. In some cases they need regulation in the circuit for lithium rechargeable batteries which are much more complicated to keep healthy and not safe if abused or defective. Taking a different approach are these Coleman battery guard models, which are much more simple using only a small resistor bank and possibly a fuse and diode for protecting the LED ( I can't see all the components as they are epoxied for protection) I did open it and take a picture of the sturdy switch and resistor design, you can check that pic out below. With this system they have a mechanical switch that moves mechanically to switch the modes from off to low and then high. When its off there is no contact to the batteries ensuring no drain if the flashlight is on a shelf for a long time. This is a great solution for simplicity which is always better for reliability. The output on the 300m is in the sweet spot for me for run time and output. Using 3AA batteries you get great battery life and brightness with hi (350lumen for 3 hours) and low mode (10 lumen for 200 hours). The LED is a nice pure white with no blue or green tint like some cheap ones I've had. Its also got a good reflector that is well centered and produces a nice beam with tight hot spot and usable flood. The tail and head are rubber coated for protection and the rest of the body is aluminum. If you have a power outage it can tail stand and flood the ceiling and 350 lumen on a white ceiling is like having an end table lamp and enough to see well and even read a book! A second set of batteries will be an entire evening of light. So very useful. The only thing is its not 100% waterproof. Its only water resistant so dont submerge in water and it should last a long time!

Robusta e aparentemente muito resistente (recebi hj, e só o tempo dirá). E realmente ilumina muito. Desliguei as luzes de meu jardim, e a eficiência foi surprendente (alcance e intensidade). E, para mim, o melhor: nada de recargas. Acabou a pilha, coloca outras. Ela já vem com 6 pilhas aa duracel. E existem várias marcas de pilhas aa com preço acessível. E vc ñ fica dependendo de estar em um local q possua fácil acesso à uma tomada para recarregar as baterias. Recomendo.

Akaline Dry Cell powered flashlight
Love the well built feel and easy on - off Switch with Drain Guard. Comes with akaline dry cells. I opted for the alkaline dry cells to power the flashlight because we have power outages that last 2-3 days and a rechargeable flashlights drain out before the hydro for the house is restored. I buy the dry cells in bulk from COSTCO ... fits my needs perfectly.
