completely honest feedback

Let's just get it out there: I have a very unattractive physique. I'm 5'10, about 180 lbs, and past middle age. Thanks to DNA, 3 pregnancies, surgeries, aging and 85 pound weight loss I am left with droopy, saggy, deflated balloons that need serious support and a squishy stomach that looks like a gathered bag of soft cheese. Normally I only seek out underwire tops and I go a little larger because I have a wide back. Nothing ever really fits exactly right - how could it with all my idiosyncracies? So I usually opt for the best case scenario. I went with this top solely based on price and after reading positive reviews from Big Busted ladies. So it is turns out this top is doing most of the tricks. My chest isn't supported as much as I'd like, but they aren't embarrassing sacks of mush lying on my tummy, either. Overall, the top isn't as big as I'd prefer but it is long enough (which rarely happens). It sort of clings to my belly chunkage but bells out a little, and is a little snug across my back, but it is completely fine and for the price I am satisfied. I don't have back fat, there is no exposed side boob, but I do have that blob of underarm blubber that looks like a tiny armpit boob. You can't see any cleavage and the straps are wide and adjustable. So, I'd say go for it but order up a size.

Review for larger breasted women

This is a review about the fit for larger breasted women. I bought this in two different colors. Black and what I would call aqua blue. The different colors fit very differently. I think the overall quality of the suit (fabric, stitching, etc) is very appropriate for the price and looking at the suit right out of the bag, I thought how cute, I really like this, I hope it fits! Then I started looking at the bra portion and had immediate doubts about the fit. First of all, I purchased this because I saw that one reviewer indicated that it fit her "size H cup." Well, my normal size is a 36DD (which equates to a Size12 or a Large so I bought this in my normal ize 12 and the shelf bra just barely covers my DDs. I first tried the black top on and after adjusting the shelf bra so that the band was actually below my breasts and the small triangle of fabric was actually covering my nipple (by the way, the shirring of the fabric hides the triangle so it was not noticeable at all), I realized I was showing about an inch of "smooshed" rather unattractive cleavage (you know, the kind that says you are wearing a bathing suit that is one size too small). I did a little more adjusting, got the band to stay below my breasts, separated the girls a bit and thought....hmm, not too bad. I could wear this and be comfortable by the pool but probably not if I'm going to be doing any paddle boarding, not enough support for that. So, then I tried on the aqua colored top. Went though the same adjustments of getting the band below my breasts, and the triangle to cover my nipples and immediately noticed that HOLY COW, half my boobs are hanging out of this thing. No amount of adjustment up, down, or sideways could contain the girls. Double checked the sizes...yup, they were both a size 12, the only difference was the color. I am absolutely not faulting this suit for the size of my breasts, just wanted to give an honest review regarding the fit for larger breasted women. Personally, I think this would be perfect for C and D cups but once you hit DD I think it will depend on the age and firmness of your DDs. Smooshed 50 year old cleavage like mine is much less attractive than smooshed 25 year old cleavage :-)

Color was true to size and the material was good - just a little too big for me

Very nice swim top. The color was exactly as shown - I bought the bright pink. After reading some reviews, I decided I should err on the side of caution and go for the larger size 12 but it was too loose in the chest area. I think I could have almost gone as far as getting the size 8 - though I am not sure if that could have resulted in a smashed chest look with chest oozing into my armpits. I'm a 34dd and I typically wear an 8 in tops and bottoms but in swimsuits, I always size up. It just felt a little too loose in the bust area to work for me. It was a nice flow away from your body if you do not want a skin tight tankini. I know some folks say that it billows in the water when it is in the water, but I'd prefer it not to be right around my stomach and this accomplishes that.

Sizing & Fit

I am 5'4", 130 lbs., 34B and ordered a size 8. It fits okay and the front is flattering but my skin pouches out around the arm holes in the back. (Think an arm hole "muffin top.") I find this strange b/c I carry my weight in my hips and thighs. My skin is not as elastic as it used to be. Maybe the next size up would eliminate this issue?

Great color and fit in upper torso, loose at midriff

The tankini top is a very nice color and the twist front is very flattering for girls who aren't as well endowed. I bought it in my normal size and it fit well. The shoulder straps felt a little wide-set when I put it on at first and I was worried about them falling down or the cut bothering me, but I got used to the feeling almost immediately and the straps did not fall down once. The bottom of the tankini is loose and not designed to be tight against the skin or a shaper. This is fine for me but someone who wants a more athletic look might want a different product. Overall, I'm very happy. It's a fun color and style and looks young, and I don't have to be almost naked and self conscious on the beach.

Muffin tops read up

I wear a 16W generally, 5'7" about 200 lbs, 40D and the 18 fits great and is very flattering with one exception. It needs tummy control. You can definitely see the muffin top. It looks good paired with a pair of swim capris. If you had a high waisted bottom that covered the muffin top it would look great. If you don't have a belly it will look great. I've ordered the one piece suit in this style and will pick the one that looks best. Update, the one piece suit in this style runs smaller so should you decide to try that suit I'd recommend going up a size. I found the 18 in the tankini to fit well but in the one piece suit an 18 was tighter than I like.

Product runs short--RETURN WINDOW IS ONLY 30 DAYS!

I went online today to set up my return for this product and have found the return window closed. This is unfortunate but when you don't receive any paperwork with it, I simply forgot which is a bummer because I have no use for this now. I wanted it for a couple of quick vacations and now that I'm home I'm super bummed I missed it by 5 days. :(

Top area fit great; material at the bottom of tankini looked a little 'stretched out'

The chest area fit great for someone who is a 34B; it looked acceptable. The thicker straps were adjustable and suited the overall style of the tankini. The padding in chest was acceptable and the support was good. The material at the bottom of the tankini looked a little 'stretched' out; like someone with a slightly large abdomen squeezed into it and the material lost its shape. It looked a bit sloppy; like it might have floated up around the abdomen when getting into water. If your lower tummy area has a little baby pudge :) it might work very well and look quite acceptable. The size was appropriate; it fit like an average size 10 US.

Very Nice, easy fit!

This suit is a very nice, flattering, well made top. Very nice to have adjustable straps. I am 128lbs and size 36D and the Size 10 (my regular size) fit perfect. Extremely fast shipping in Canada. Would purchase again!
