Timeless Classic

I was so pleased to be able to purchase this edition on the classic LCA from Timex. I have in fact got this watch already however the glass had cracked and with the surrounding info in printed on the glass it was impossible for me to replace. Therefore I decided to invest in this new one and it brought back a lot of great memories of having this watch before. For anyone who is into films this is the one worn by Roy Scheider in the movie Blue Thunder. Works well and once i had reset the time for my time zone and date/day it was all set. I notice that it does not have the blue colour around the edge as my old one did but none the less its perfect.

Janky bracelet, no indiglo...

Couldn't believe this didn't have indiglo for the money... 'vintage homage' or not... Otherwise I like it. I feel like my grandpa..

Nostalgia!

Overall good throwback watch if you’re looking for every day retro style watch. This could be it. Overall good build nothing fancy, just nice 80s style watch. The light on the watch is not that great but it’s a nice touch. Easy to adjust and setup. I will also rock the other color as well if I get for free. Lol good watch overall. ☝????

A disappointment

I’m a huge fan of digital reissues but this was a real disappointment. As soon as I opened the box it seemed very ‘cheap’… which is ok if you’re paying $20. However for this price point, it was a deal breaker. I took it out of the box and my fears were confirmed. It felt lightweight and poorly built. If you want a good retro digital watch, I would look to the Casios which are all under $50 and are all better made than this one.

A pretty watch, but too many flaws

I almost never post negative reviews. I recognize that everyone’s experience with a product is different, as perhaps mine was. This time it’s different regarding this watch. First, let me say this is a lovely watch. Among almost all digital watches, this is almost the only one that mimics a “tank” configuration—longer vertically than horizontally—which I find especially beguiling. But after a week on the wrist I cannot recommend this watch and I returned it. First, it’s hellish to set the time. You set the mode to adjust the seconds … but the minutes and hours keep ticking away! Go to minutes, and the seconds and hours keep on ticking. In other words, nothing freezes so it can be set in sequence, seconds to minutes to hours. You can do it by setting the hours to just before the jump, and then quickly set seconds to zero. Then cross your fingers it works. Another more basic issue is that the chimes and alarms on my watch did not work. Enabling hourly chimes and alarms had no effect, no sounds could be heard. This is a no-starter for a digital watch. And has been noted numerous times, the backlight is worthless. Lastly, the visibility is poor, both of the analog and digital display. It’s simply difficult to tell the time, which after all is what a watch should do. As an homage watch, which Timex excels at, it should have been resurrected in a modern version, with modern setting capabilities, Indiglo lighting and, of course, functioning sounds. I cannot recommend this watch to anyone.

Watch arrived broken. As soon as I opened up the box I was disappointed. The bracelet was broken

I ignored some of the other reviews and hoped for the best. But as soon as I opened up the box the watch was in I was very disappointed to see that the bracelet on my new watch was broken.

Clasp breaks after 3 times wearing the watch

The media could not be loaded. The part of the clasp that connects to the bracelet breaks after just a couple of times and it is not fixable meaning the bracelet which is a big part of the watch design and I can't really find a replacement bracelet that holds the same design and shape.
