Saving kitchens.

Purchased this product for a friend that kept leaving her stove and boiling pans dry. Purchased this timer for her to wear around her neck and has helped her feel more comfortable about cooking.

Won't turn off

It works great, but my issue is you can't turn it off without removing the battery. Would not recommend for this reason

Exactly what I need but 2/3 of them are duds

*UPDATE* I lost my timer so I ordered another. The replacement (timer #2) came with the button holder off and the tabs on it disfigured so it wouldn't stay on and keep the battery in. I ordered a replacement for it and sent it back. The replacement (timer #3) came and it doesn't work but for a different reason. I removed the tab behind the battery so that I could start using it and it's completely dead; will not work at all. They're refunding me and I have to send it back but I'm going to order #4 and hope that it isn't broken or dead and that it works as well as the first one I ordered. It has all the features I want (key ring, magnet on the back, simple buttons) and I can't find any other with all those things. Fingers crossed the 4th one is fine! I'm an industrial radiographer and needed something to time my shots so that I can go do other things around the building. This suited my needs perfectly! I ended up taking off the string and attaching it to a carabiner which I just clip to my uniform. The magnet on the back is perfect for putting it on my locker or magnet pad in the car while on timed breaks. The lettering is starting to wear but I've used it at least 10 times a day for the last 2 months so that's a little understandable.

No alarm for countdown!

Whaah kind of company makes a digital timer have no alarm for the countdown timer? If there's a way to do this please someone say.

Pretty quiet

I work in a behavior analysis clinic and need a stopwatch/timer combo more often than I can count. My company provides clip-on ones (from the same brand) that are constantly breaking. What good is a clip-on tool if the clip is... not... on? I purchased this in hopes that it would be better quality. So far it is not as loud as the clip-on versions but that seems to be about the only downfall. The buttons are (so far) easier to manipulate and don't get stuck as much, the view is about the same as the clip-on one, and the sensitivity isn't too bad. (I have dropped timer/stopwatches before that ended up stopping or resetting the time/duration. Worst thing ever during a tantrum!) I took the lanyard it came with off, though, because I can't have a dangle at my job. I tried to snip it shorter and tie it to a carabiner, but the string is super slippy. That is probably the worst aspect of it. I took the entire string off and used a keychain ring instead.

Wife uses it every day

No more smoke alarm.

I am very busy and easily distracted. This timer keeps me from burning dinner or my baking. The time display is easy to see and it is simple to set the timer. Being able to wear it is a lifesaver for me. My family and neighbors appreciate the absence of the blaring smoke alarm.

Easy to Use

Good it arrived with a battery-protector to prevent that "DOA" too common. Ditto protective cover to prevent scratches to the display window. Bad that I can't figure out how to turn it off. I want a dark face to preserve the battery, not "00,00" on constant display. I replaced the lanyard with a 1/8" leather one, as the original was scratchy at the place it was fused. So very many uses, no more clothes sitting in washer forever, sprinkler running, cold toast. The timer has saved me a fortune: my exercise equipment is old, the electronics shot. But now I can time my sessions accurately, and change the setting completely.
