The 9 and 6 can be tough to tell apart on the 12-sided die at first glance.
The dice themselves are pretty good... if your eyesight is good and you're familiar with their quirks. When I say "quirks", I mean that the '6' and the '9' can be difficult to tell apart on the 12 sided die. On the 20 sided, it's not that tough since the sides are triangular and there's a dot under both the 6 and the 9. On the 10-sided, again, the sides are not symmetrical so it's pretty easy to tell when it's a 6 and it's a 9. The 12-sided, however, has pentagonal sides and when I rolled them for the first time and got a 6, I actually had to pick the die up and see what was on the other side ('7') to be certain it was, in fact, a 6. If you look closer, there are some obvious differences. (One, the pattern around the numbers is not perfectly symmetrical and the 9 has a period behind it.) So once you're familiar with these quirks, they're perfectly serviceable dice.

Neat looking dice.
I'm not exactly sure why I bought these beyond the point that they are pretty neat looking. They are probably too expensive... but for me it was one of those impulse purchases that I probably shouldn't have made, but now that I have I'm not really disappointed. I read some of the other reviews... including one that said there were missing numbers on the d20 and that they weren't lined up right. (opposite sides should add up to 21. 1 opposite 20, 2 opposite 19 etc.) This was not the case with mine. They all had all the numbers in all the right places and looked like they appeared in the ad. Others had said that the numbers were hard to read, but I don't see that. The d20 does not have a 20 on it, but it's fairly intuitive to figure out that the side that doesn't have a number is the 20. If you're a gamer and want a set of dice almost guaranteed to draw a few comments (positive) these are definitely for you. If you buy I hope you enjoy and thank you for taking the time to read my review.

Really happy with my new dice.
I just recieved my dice in the mail and I'm satisfied with them already. The package was well sealed along with another set of dice I had ordered. Even though for me these were an impulse purchase, the price is reasonable for what they are. I say this because a short while ago I almost bought the metal ones. Those were $50 and the detail on them were not so great at all. The brown color is darker than the one shown in the description but a little lighter than the one in the customer pictures (not too much though as they kind of look black in that one. Might be a lighting thing). The yellow looks about the same as it does in the pictures and the Steampunk detail doesn't look too distracting...at least to me it does not. All the Numbers are on well as I noticed in one of the reviews someone didn't have them printed well. Over all he Dice look great and I can't wait to break them in at my next game night.

Predilection for rolling 19s
The d20 rolls lots of 19s. The first roll was a 19, and I'd say about 25% of all rolls have been 19s. The d12 is cursed, so I avoid skills, weapons and abilities that use that die. It ain't hard. The designs are totally boss. Generally, I have to pick the die back up and hold it close to my face to read the number but that's okay. Everybody likes a myopic geek right? Considering how small and intricate the art on the dice is, the lines are clean and the paint is very accurate. They are also slightly larger than the usual dice you get by the pound. Are they worth $18? Depends. Ask yourself these questions: 1. Do people frequently take my dice and not give them back? 2. Am I known for losing my dice constantly? 3. Is disposable income some economic concept you've only read about? 4. Do you already have enough dice to play the game? 5. Will these dice improve your life appreciably? If you've read this far, then the answers don't matter. Buy the dice.

Gorgeous dice, but easy to do a 6/9 mix-up.
The dice look awesome. The painting certainly isn't perfect, but I'm amazed by how nice it looks. As other reviewers have said, the brown is darker in real life than it looks in this image - more of a walnut color. My only real gripe is the labeling on some of the dice. Traditionally, sixes and nines will have either an underscore or a decimal point so that you can be certain which you're looking at. On the d10 and the d12, this isn't done very well. On the d10, the 6 has a decimal but the 9 doesn't. The opposite is true on the d10. The d20 has decimals on both, but they're super small and tough to see. Overall, I'm satisfied with the dice and I would still recommend them. They look awesome, and the numbers themselves are very clear... we just have some six and nine issues.

Nice Dice!
Every once in a while, something comes along that has that, "Oh My Gawds, I Really Need THAT!" appeal to it. These dice are listed in that category. Though i haven't played a desktop gaming game in over 9 years. Though upon pulling out my bag O'dice both cats became 'aware' and scattered my pile of d4's - d20's across the room with one single pounce... i gathered them all up and was entranced by the sheer magnitude of my collection. From the light blue set that came with the AD&D box game I have kept in near pristine condition since first opening it back in 1984, to the crystal green set, the dragon d6's, and knuckle bones groups... this set of steampunk dice adds a new level of pretty to my already awesome collection. Take a moment, roll for initiative, and get yourself a box. You may have an adventure waiting around the corner that could require such a need as to own your own set!

Very nice quality, slightly off on the color though!
These dice look great online. Upon receiving them I've noticed that the quality of plastic, weight, legibility, and durability are all spot on. These seem to be made to last and feel very well made. Some users have complained about legibility, even the d20 was perfectly easy to read from several feet. My one complaint is in the color. Online the yellow accents look rich and golden yet the actual dice have more of a mustard look. Also, the brown is more of a dull brown than the rich mahogany that appears online. I have gotten used to the slight differences however, and am quite pleased with my order. They look excellent and should serve me well in my coming campaign!

They're dice
These dice are dice. They matched the product description. They can be rolled easily and as far as I can tell are unbiased. They look quite nice.

Great gift
A lovely set of dice. Unlike some other Q-Workshop sets it comes in a nice display box which makes it perfect as a present.

Good value.
The dice set is very well made and the colours work very well for a Steampunk dice set. Good value.
