Good Grill Brush
Brush works well on our grill. A word of caution...the grill brush extra head shown in the ad dos NOT fit this model.

Careful of Website Description: This is the XL version! May not fit!
Hi everyone, I bought this and realized that this brush is actually the "XL" version of the Cool Clean product line. Char-broil has two different products marketed under the same line--the Cool Clean and the Cool Clean XL. This brush is the latter. The XL sizing is 5" wide brush and the regular version is the 4" brush. In terms of performance, the 5" and the 4" both work about the same. The 5" XL version handle claims to be more ergonomics--but that's up to personal taste and debate. Actual "ergonomic" results varies from person to person. The cost of the two brushes is about the same from one to another. So why does it matter? The answer: Replacement heads. Both versions of the Cool Clean Brush can be replaced (the head, I should say) and that is a GREAT feature. After the nylon brush has worn out, don't throw out the entire brush, just buy the replacement head at about 33% - 40% the cost of the original brush. And less environmental waste. BUT, now you know there are two sizes, make sure you get the correct one!! The XL version will only accept the 5" replacement head. And it is usually about $9 each. The regular version will only accept the 4" replacement head. And it is usually about $4 each. In my opinion, in the long run, you are much better off buying the regular 4" version because the long-term head replacement cost is far less (at about half!). I know it doesn't sound a lot if you only replace a brush head once or twice a year, well, it adds up. Besides, the 5" brush performance is not better than the 4" brush performance. In fact, the brush bristle, bristle quantity, and bristle length are all the same for both products (except of course, 5" head is slightly wider with about 2 extra rows of bristles--but the bristle density per row is all the same otherwise). That said, that's why I am giving this a 3-star only because essentially you will be paying twice the cost for replacement brush heads in the long run (again, $9 vs. $4 per replacement), and you are not getting that much greater cleaning performance. Most of the cleaning power is in the center of the brush anyway. The edges don't matter. So 4" vs. 5", no performance advantage on the wider version. So, my recommendation is that you don't go with the XL version. Just go with the 4" regular brush. How can you tell which is which? The website description was incorrect and that's how I got the wrong sized product. Well, the only way to tell is read the fine print shipping description of the product dimension. The XL version should have a dimension of 5" wide x 2" and 1" long bristle. The regular version should have 4" wide x 2" and 1" long bristle. The handle, of course, is about 12". That's how you can tell which is which. Hope this helps! I will be returning my Cool Clean XL because I bought a bunch of replacement heads at $4 each but they were all 4" sized. The XL brush won't accept, of course. At the price difference of $5 per replacement, if I were to get two replacements, I could have paid for another whole new brush. So it's a no-go for me mathematically. Thanks for reading! Hope this helped you!!

It's cheaper to buy this whole brush than just the replacement head!
We got new grates for our gas grill. We threw away our metal bristled brushes because they eventually wear off the ceramic coating which cause the grates to start to rust in those areas. This brush is very sturdy as are the bristles. This is a Char Broil brush. We are happy with the quality and it gets the job done and protects the porcelain. Watch out for the low reviews by the Darwin nominees who used them on hot grates and they melted!

The last grill brush you'll buy, and the only one you should have
Throw away your metal scrappers, you'll be glad you did before you get one of the metal bristles caught in your food and logged in your throat. Ask me how I know. Im an avid barbequer and I take my grilling serious. Get this brush. The wooden ones are good but they just don't reach the cracks and crevices. This brush eliminates that problem, is tough and durable and the nylon bristles are fantastic to use. Easy to clean, and don't mush out like the metal ones. Highly recommend

It does the job, but not strong enough to thoroughly clean. And a little too bulky. But that's personal opinion and I guess I haven't tried enough brushes to judge. it's only my second one... the first one is from Dollarama LOL!

Adequate BBQ Brush
Unfortunately I do not feel this product does justice when cleaning the bbq. The bristles did not last long and even though the brush is ergonomic, it was quite difficult to scrape.

Feels solid and the heads are replaceable. Hook in handle makes it easier to scrub hard. Has a ring for hanging.
