Great for crafts

Easy To Sew With No Raveling

This is the same fabric as the bags the supermarket sells are made from. It is easy to sew and doesn't ravel so no seam finishes are necessary. I used it to sew oversized grocery bags that are much easier to pack than the smaller ones from the supermarket. No lining was necessary but I did include a small 7/8" wide strip of interfacing inside the top hem to allow the bags to stay open better when packing them. I used the fabric to make handles by folding a strip in half and then tucking the ends into the center fold making the handle 4 thicknesses of fabric. They are really strong! To support the groceries I used sheets of plastic needlepoint canvas and find it works great. A big plus is that the plastic canvas is washable if something drips on it. The fabric can be wiped clean with a soapy sponge - it is not machine washable. The fabric comes neatly wrapped on a bolt and at 60" wide is enough to make a LOT of bags! There is no right or wrong side but one side is definitely shinier than the other. I found the bolt of fabric had some irregularities and thin spots but no actual holes. If not for that I would have given this 5 stars.

Love item, but damaged bolt this time ordered. Not typical.

I love this fabric for mask filters, but I just got a damaged bolt this time. When the item arrived, the item was damaged. It was also significantly delayed due to the bad storms. I received my replacement before the original item arrived. The replacement was not damaged. There were smudges at the fold and at the first yard and a half of the item, so I returned it. I would have kept it and I wouldn’t have mind being charged, but I did not want to take a risk that there would be contamination throughout the bolt. I use this fabric for filter in the masks I make, so it is not an option to take a risk of using the rest of the bolt.

Making masks

I purposely bought this for cutting into filter sizes for the masks I am making. I make a pocket for insertion of filter with the intention of taking out before washing mask. I cannot guarantee the filtering factor as I know it is not as good as N-95 masks, but I feel it's better than just using cloth. I will say that I purposely sewed a piece of it to a piece of test cotton to see how it would do. It was put into the washer (warm water, perm press setting) and at the end of cycle, it was hard and brittle. I literally peeled it off the fabric. By that fact, I knew it would never survive the heat of the dryer so I didn't bother. The bolt of fabric feels soft, high quality and cuts easily. If the necessity for mask making comes to an end, I will probably use what is left for making crafts (its intended purpose).

Impervious to most everything

I am making embroidered reusable gift bags with this product. It doesn't ravel, has more body than regular fabric, is the same on both sides. It is made out of plastic, I'm hoping its recycled. I put organza on top of it to make it super pretty. Very easy to sew with, but DONT iron it, it will melt.

Excellent product.

I use Oly fun cloth to make templates for my edge to edge quilting program. It works great. I am going to start using it as a middle layer in my face masks also. It’s an excellent product.

Perfect in the garden

I buy this to cover my plants in freezing temps. Anchor it down with clips or pins and you are good to go. Prefer the green for the garden but it's been in short supply lately. I also use it to wrap around my tomato cages when I first transplant to protect the small plants, I cut it off as soon as the weather warms up enough and the roots are established.

I used this in place of purchasing plant blankets from the garden store. So much more cost effective!
