Great looking chandelier - a lot of work to assemble

This chandelier looks just as it does in the picture -- which looks great! And all the parts feel very sturdy. There are some things to be aware, however: - There are very few instructions, but many tiny parts. It took close to two hours to assemble this. The chandelier came with only one instruction sheet, which is a diagram of the sequence of parts for the ceiling anchor only - This light uses T10 bulbs with E26 bases. If you want LEDs they come to about $12 per bulb x 6 at Lowes - Maybe obvious for some, but I'm a chandelier newb, and I didn't realize the stem HAD to attach to the ceiling. I thought it could partly hang from the wires. The package comes with 78" of lead wire, however you only have 64 1/2 inches of stem. So if you have a taller ceiling you will need to purchase additional stems. Measure where you want the chandelier to go, then search for and add 2999NI 12" stems or 2997NI 24" stems as you need to get the chandelier to the right height. Overall I'm glad I have it, but wish I knew about the stems before I went and installed it to the ceiling!

Perfect for large room.

I have been eyeing this chandelier for a few years now. Finally took the plunge when the price dropped. This chandelier changed my room. Very happy. Four stars because some Lights were bent slightly, but we were able to bend back where it was unnoticeable.

Moved the fixture to another location and one of the pieces cracked.

Love this light - but we moved it into another room and one of the pieces somehow snapped off. Any way to get a replacement part?

Attractive, transitional light fixture

I have the same fixture in bronze in my mountain vacation home, and the brushed nickel in my city town home, and the styling work well with both those ends of the spectrum. It is a large fixture which fills the room without feeling overdone. Quality is decent, though a couple of the light bases required a bit of manual adjustment to get them aligned properly. Note: the outer glass sconces are not secured to the base, just rest on top, so this fixture shouldn't be hung where it could be easily bumped.

Attractive Fixture

My only issue with this fixture was the instructions. Fortunately I have put up many fixtures and was able to navigate through this. If you do not have a good ability connecting and setting one up then you better get help. I couldn't even use the limited instructions included and just worked my way through it. It was packaged very well. Please note it scratches very easily. When you connection the unit get help. I didn't and quickly scratched it when a piece slipped.

some thoughts

Overall, we are very happy with the look of this light. It pairs well with our pottern barn benchwright extended table and hundi lights. However, we made the mistake of not paying attention to the types of bulbs needed as we were ordering a bunch of other things for a kitchen/almost full house remodel. It needs six T10 type bulbs and it is very difficult to find a low energy alternative bulb. Other than that, it's a great light that looks very classy.

The glass shades are very neat the way they are designed- they are one piece with the inside tube being etched in color. The color is a little more gold/beige looking than ivory/cream in my opinion but looks very pretty when the light is on. Its particularly nice looking in the evening because the inner tubes are lit up while the clear glass around just shine. The light is very well made. The scale is nice and looks lovely over our dining table. It has a rustic feel but is still a pretty fixture.

its more dull painted silver which was disappointing

The light arrived on time and intact, but the color in the picture is very deceiving. Its not brushed nickel, its more dull painted silver which was disappointing. For the price, I would have expected Kichler to use better material. This should have been a sub $200 light that you can get from your big box stores.
