I own 3 of these.

I keep one in my car. One in my tackle box. And one in use. I take it out during winter so the rain drains out the boat. They work great. And provide an extra snug fit.turn Right to expand the plug and turning it left to loosen for removal.

Works perfectly for my boat

I was having trouble with the toggle style drain plugs, so I gave this style a try. The screw mechanism allows for more pressure and a better seal in my opinion. Felt much more secure after I installed. The toggle version felt like it could pop loose at any time. Not a single drop of water comes through. Immediately bought a couple more as backups in case I lose one or one needs replacing after normal wear and tear. Stainless means it will last too. Thanks - good product.

Fits perfect into a 7/8" drain tube

I installed this drain plug into the 7/8" ID drain tube in the below-deck ski locker on my boat to isolate it from the bilge, and it fit perfectly. I was concerned about what size to buy after reading a bunch of reviews, but this plug will fit into a minimum 7/8" hole, and will also work well in a 1" hole. If you're going to be removing it often you might be better off with one that has a flip style latch, but for a location were it's only removed periodically this will work fine. Quality seem great, and I don't anticipate any issues with corrosion other than what you'd normally expect in a saltwater environment.

Works great for my DYI Worm Bin

I was looking for a solution to create a removeable drainage plug for the worm bin I made from plastic bins. This worked great! Simply drill a 1-inch hole and you are good to go. I like that there are no gaskets or plugs that raise the water level before drainage can occur. This is a great solution for DYI worm bin makers.

Does what it's supposed to

Overall this plug does what it's meant to do, the handle that you turn to tighten the plug down does feel a little flimsy but as long as you're just hand tightening it you'll be fine. The rubber material seems to be of good quality and with the screw tightened in there is no way for the plug to be pulled out. I would buy this again and recommend it as the price is great.

Totally within the realm of acceptability

Using in my 18 ft Lund……I am .way too old to jump in the boat after I take it out of the water and remove the plug from the inside ….so I use this item from the outside of the boat…so slick and driving in/thru weeds has not been an issue…it is the law to remove the plug while transporting a boat on roads and highways in Manitoba, Canada
