Best ear plugs
These are the best! I worked at a large aerospace company in the PNW. Even on the “wing line” for a few years. Seen many iterations of hearing protection. There were boxes of multiple types and if these were available, it was always by far the go to plugs. Use them for anything when I need to protect my hearing. Always use them when using power tools, gun ranges, motorcycles, music concerts, and even on airplanes. The key is to roll them tightly and insert them into your ears quickly before they start expanding.

The best performing, least expensive, made in America earplugs for work, sleep, showering--whatever
I know 3M has been in the news during the pandemic, and not for good reasons, and it appears some of the combat earplugs they made for the military are not working correctly (you can read about that here, obviously change the underscores to periods before using the link: www_militarytimes_com/news/your-military/2019/02/14/hundreds-of-vets-are-suing-over-these-defective-combat-earplugs/) Nothing to indicate this was done deliberately, and certainly 3M is not known for botching manufacturing generally, but I'm a huge supporter of all those in uniform, so this disturbs me--but bottom line these are simply the best deal-- also the best performing noise reduction plugs, 33dB NR, and made in America. A no brainer choice. They're both pliable and yet incredibly effective, allowing you to fit them perfectly and feel them expand gently to fill the ear canal--like tiny memory foam inserts--perfect whether using them in a work environment or just to be able to sleep. They come in individually wrapped packages in a large box very convenient--made of non-toxic, non-leaching polyurethane, no latex, and very unlikely to cause any allergic reactions. I wouldn't swim with these, but they're great if you want to take a shower and you're prone to getting water in your ears. Working in the yard, they not only reduce noise from the leaf blower, they keep dust and particulates out of your ear canal. Put some of that alcohol we've been using to disinfect against covid on your fingers before you roll/insert the ear plug, but I've used these for years and never had any type of infection or issue. Bonus benefit: in fact when you take them out they often act as a kind of gentle excess ear wax cleaning! Beautiful, these will change your life, no kidding. A note on sleep: I suggest using them frankly every night, not just on noisy nights, if you really want a deep sleep--even having the sound of your partner breathing and moving, a beautiful comforting sound of course, but can slightly disturb your sleep--or a pet that shares the bed moving around, we're not aware of it necessarily, but it does affect the quality of our sleep. Using the earplugs is like swaddling your ears with a blanket, it's a comfort and it's also giving your eardrums and brain circuitry that handles sound a healthful rest while deepening & lengthening your sleep. Lastly, these are great if you're commuting on noisy public transit, or walking along a noisy road because you can still hear any warning sounds in the environment, but it's like you're wrapped in protective padding. Enjoy the quiet, the improved sleep and the comfort. Stay safe, take care

Noise free
I have to sleep with these as my house is usually full of people working different hours, watching TV, playing video games and dogs and cats. Perfect for a good night’s sleep.

You must have small ear openings to use this product.
I've average ear openings and this product just disappears in and is hard to get out!! lol. Hey if you've a small opening this is your fit. Otherwise, avoid. I gave the entire box away.

Work well for sleep.
Bought these because my neighbor's (who share a wall) dogs have been driving me crazy from barking at 6 and 7 in the morning. They don't completely block out noise - I definitely wouldn't use for heavy construction jobs - however they at least mute the barking and can still hear my alarm clock in the morning. I have pretty small ear canals and these fit perfectly and do not fall out at night. I'm a pretty sensitive sleeper and have trouble falling asleep so I was worried these would be uncomfortable and only make those problems worse, but so far so good. If you're looking for absolute noise cancellation go with another product.

Comfortable, Very Reusable, Do not isolate as well as 3M's orange ones.
So if your intention is maximum noise isolation with great comfort then go for the orange ones also made by 3M. This one is superior in comfort and the whole sponge mechanics but lose out in noise isolation compared to the orange ones(to my ear that is.) And by sponge mechanics I meant how easy it is to repeatedly sqeeze to be ready to be inserted. The orange ones you need to wait a bit before the sponge "reset" for optimal "sqeezeness." This property is very useful when you need to remove the earplug temporarily to pick up a call or something. Either this one or the orange ones are FAR superior than any non-3M earplugs though. I tried a lot of them.

I sleep better now, I will definitely buy these again.
I got these on my husband's recommendation. I have a hard time sleeping at night since my husband has started snoring. He uses these for when he goes target practicing and recommended I try them for sleep. I figured it's worth a shot. I have small ears and have a hard time getting most ear plugs to stay. These ones allow me to twist them up small enough to actually fit them into my small ear tubes. And they stay in all night, which is another thing other ear plugs couldn't do for me. As far as noise cancelling, they work very well but they are not absolute. I can still faintly hear my husband snoring and the AC going. I cannot hear, however, my cat crying at the door at night which is a plus. They're enough noise cancelling that I can fall asleep. The only problem I have with them is that they tend to leave my ears kinda raw after about 2 nights of using them. It might just be because my ears are small and my skin is sensitive. My husband says he does not have that problem with them, so it might just be me. Overall, I sleep better so I will be buying them again.

Softer, fits better, but, noise isoion wise, not as good as 1100
I have recently switch to this model(1250) from 1100 due to the higher noise isolation rate. However, I feel 1250 is not as good as it advertised, or at least it offers less noise isolation for music instrument comparing to 1100. On the other hand, 1250 is definitely softer and lighter than 1100. I can nearly feel it when plugged in my ears, where 1100 is firmer and a bit uncomfortable when plugged in. Personally I would go with 1100 since it offers better noise isolation at my case, but, I guess the experience vary depends on the type of noise.

Are these even 3M?
I’ve been using ear soft ear plugs for many years for insomnia, and I know these very well, these are really bad, almost every package has a defective ear plug in it that isn’t it’s normal density almost like half the density of a normal ear plug. There are good earplugs in the box too so you really notice the defective ones. Sadly never opened the box till after the return date as I never imagined such defected earplugs after getting a dozen boxes of good one over the years … SO LIKE I ASKED…ARE THESE EVEN REAL 3M PRODUCTS.

The best earplug I've ever tried
Every earplug I've tried has the same NNR / dB rating of around 33 (which I think is the highest) but these do the best job of blocking out sound. I believe this is related to their small size, which allows them to be fully and properly inserted into the ear canal. I knocked off a star as they are a little too small and I have to be careful not to insert them too far as they can be difficult to retrieve. Maybe I have deep ear canals? It would be nice if you didn't have to buy them in bulk tho. 200 pairs is crazy. But I guess I never have to worry about running out. Price is pretty decent tho. Very happy I found these

Comfortable, sound proof, and affordable
I use these to sleep at night and when travelling. They are absolutely comfortable, keep even the loudest snorers and plain noises down to a whisper. I am a very light sleeper and always had issues falling asleep because of noise. Now I sleep like a rock. Highly recommend it.
