Stayed moist for almost 2 weeks!
I was skeptical but this thing WORKED. They hold a ton of moisture, that's for sure! Mine stayed moist while I was on a 2 week vacation, so it was the savior of several houseplants. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because they're not reusable AND they turn into a gelatinous mess. It was hard to scrape it all off of the plastic tray I had put it in, and I finally gave up and got rid of the tray with it. It was a cheap Dollar Tree tray, so not a huge loss, at least. I'd use this product again if I travel more than a week, but next time I'll probably line the tray with plastic wrap or foil first so it won't ruin the tray itself.

Only lost 2 leaves after 15 days
I used two mats for my 7 smallish houseplants (3 plants on one mat, 4 on the other) for 15 days. When I returned after my trip, all were alive and looked good (Hoya, Pothos, Chinese Evergreen, Thanksgiving cactus, NJoy, Brazil, Dieffenbachia). Only the Dieffenbachia and the NJoy had lost one leaf each. The mats were dried out though so I would not use them for more than 15 days, but I would totally use them again.

A watering can in a mat
I use these when I travel. They work well with small to med potted plants. I cut these in 1/2 & soak well with water. Almost 2 weeks of moisture. Haven’t lost a plant yet.

Will work for a short vacation
I used this in a seed starting tray, with one end in a water reservoir and it wicked the water for 3-4 weeks but then deteriorated into a useless mess. If used as advertised it should water your plants for a 1 to 2 week vacation.

These really work!
I use these mats for my plants when I am going away for awhile. They really work! I put them in disposable foil trays because they kind of disintegrate after being soaked and sitting there for a week or two. ( the package says not to get the mat material in drains).

Waste of time and u don't write bad reviews
These suck unless the roots of your plants are totally root bound and spilling out of the bottom drainage holes. You are better off getting a small package of diapers, soaking them and then cutting out the area that holds the polymer beads and mixing with soil. I had a ton of diapers from my second grandchild. Mixed the beads with soil and planted seedlings and bareroot plants. My mistake they hold THAT MUCHwater. So instead mix your dollar store diapers with soil and only add a half cup or more to your potting soil. Don't waste time on these pads. I still have an unopened package. I'm very nifty at returns but I hope to find a use for them. But honestly go grab four diapers from the dollar store. Soak them with water, cut the absorbent insert out and you will find many polymer beads. Mix with soil. But FO NOT plant your plants in that medium only. Only use 1/4 max to amend your soil, otherwise your plants will drown.

Do the job but not reusable
I really need this sort of thing to protect my plant when we go away for several days at a time and they really do the job. Plants that would otherwise wilt or even die stayed moist but not too wet (because that would also kill them). The gel holds a lot of water so you can add enough to keep things ok for several days, perhaps even weeks. The big issue, though, is that the fabric is not sealed on the sides and all the gel just falls out. You can't move the mats and even in one place they make a mess. I would purchase a similar product again if it were sealed but definitely not this one.

Went on week long family vacation. Worked well. Ferns we’re in excellent condition when we returned.
