Did I get a knockoff?

The swim cap seems fine, similar thick, stretchy texture to our other silicone swim caps. The odd thing is the signage that came inside the cap - the white cardboard insert doesn't seem like a Speedo production with "PLEASE AVOID SHARP OBJECTS AS FINGERNALL OR HAIRPIN." I'll keep it and see how it goes because it's comparably priced ($9.99 in the store but wanted pink so hot this one for $12) on Amazon. I'll update if I think the quality isn't comparable.

Keeps hair dry!

Works great and keeps hair dry!!! My 8 yr old daughter likes the neon pink. Although picture looks much brighter.

Hair didn't get to wet

The cap fits tight but not uncomfortable for my daughter. She was able to swim and not get her hair soaked. A little water did get in but if it's on correctly the water will only get the sides a little wet.

Not the proper size

This cap is meant for bigger kids and youth. I had high hopes. Don’t get me wrong the quality of material is there. But I couldn’t get this cap on my 4yr old. No matter how much I tried and tried it just wouldn’t attach enough to fit her properly. This cap is soooo small. It fit my 1YR old.

I'd recommend that if your child needs a swim cap that ...

This is sized properly for my 10 and 12 year old daughters to wear for their competitive swimming, and works just as well as Speedo's adult swim caps have worked for me for years. Silicone is durable, and flexible enough that she can get it on by herself without tearing the cap. I'd recommend that if your child needs a swim cap that you shouldn't even bother with the latex caps, because until you learn how to put the cap on with some skill they are very easy to tear. Latex also is rougher on your hair - like putting a rubber band on your head. Silicone is softer and definitely the way to go. Speedo makes a good silicone cap, and I've also been happy with their adult sizes. Generally the colors don't fade or yellow in any of the silicone caps I've owned, as long as you rinse the cap with cool water once you get out of the pool, though because the caps last for so long I did once have a white silicone cap that started yellowing after swimming with it 5 days a week for a year. (FYI, critical reviewers: there is no swim cap in the world that is going to keep your hair dry if you go underwater.)

Not for long hair

Seems to be good quality. However, had to return this item as it’s not intended for long hair. Couldn’t fit all my daughter’s hair under the cap

Good quality

Good quality but it runs big. I had to return it bc it was too big for my 7 almost 8 year old. Otherwise it is a quality product and was easy to put on.

This adult wears it just fine

I swim about 10k, every week, and I loved this cap until it ripped. I'm a 37 year old woman who weighs over 200lbs, and have thick curly hair down to my bra strap. The suggestion it's only good for 2-5 year olds is absurd. Swim caps are supposed to be tight.
