Trap works okay
Got this trap to catch some mice in the garage because the cats seem to be friendly with them. I grew up on a farm so I was able to set the trap without too much issue but a novice might like to find a video on how the first time. I rubbed a little peanut butter onto the plate and sprinkled a crushed saltine cracker all around inside the trap. Set it and put along the wall of the garage and the next morning had a little field mouse in there. Hubby relocated it to a grove on his way to work. Reset the trap and caught another and did this about 6 times with good results. Didn’t catch anything after having it set for over a week so hoping this means the mice all have been relocated elsewhere and will not return. So trap does it’s job and is fully functional. No escapes or chewing through. This trap however is not very sturdy and if I was trying to catch a big rat like in NYC or a crazy squirrel or something, I fear it would not hold up. The door is thin lightweight metal as is the hardware cloth sides and any sizable or determined animal is going to be able to get out. It also would crush if it was stepped on or something heavy dropped on it. We knew this was likely going into the purchase but mention so others aren’t surprised. It’s sitting now on a shelf in the garage all cleaned in case of future need. I would buy again for mice but if it’s for anything bigger I think I would find something more sturdy. Hope this helps.

Good product!
I noticed some sort of mouse or rat in my home all the sudden. It's been staying behind some drawers in my kitchen. I spotted him running around my living room one night and since then I only know it's on my home cause I can hear him chewing on wood here and there so I bought this trap hoping to catch it lol. I still haven't been able to lure it out but the trap is really great! Super easy to set and a good size! Definitely worth the money if you're looking for something like this. Highly recommend it!

This works.
We had an unwanted friend in our garage and this trap let us bring him to the wild. Tried different bait, but found that for some reason this rodent was eating a bar of natural soap. Put the soap into the trap, and the next morning - there he was! We put the occupied trap into a large box and put it in the car and drove him out to the wild to let him go. The first time you set up the trap it takes a minute to figure out its mechanics, but it's easy thereafter. Should last forever.

SOMETHING THAT REALLY WORKS !!!
I just bought the medium size cage to catch a rat , first day caught two mouse ???? one big, one baby in each cage works like a charm. Great quality worth buying. Not flimsy at all , ones there in they can't come out no matter how much they try to bite the cage. Great value for your money ???? am buying more,because it a real problem in my area . I recommend this product it's worth every penny !!!

Humane Trap That Does What it's Supposed to
I personally hate reading long winded reviews, so here's what you need to know: 1. I purchased the medium trap and it comfortably held a very fat squirrel (not what I was trying to catch, but just so you get an idea of size). This would not hold anything larger IMO. 2. The trap is humane and super easy to setup. I was able to put mine up in less than 2 minutes. 3. Once the cage is set off, the trapped animal has no chance of escaping. Please note: It is light though, so if you are worried about it shifting, I would set something sturdy on top of it to hold it in place. 4. Opening the cage was the part I was most scared about, but it was a breeze. I wore gloves to be safe, but there wasn't any real risk of being bitten (due to cage design). 5. I would definitely recommend these traps for anyone trying to catch rodents.

It’s working, but only 1 at the time
We placed the trap for a week to get one mice ????. Every time to remove the trap is another inconvenience step to do to catch the next one.

I purchased small trap from here medium from another Amazon store
So I purchased the medium trap from another Amazon store and it worked great (moms patio had infestation of rats) so I caught a few large rats but I also saw smaller so I ordered the smaller trap which also worked great, but as the numbers dwindle I noticed I was losing the bait on the smaller traps so I set the ring cam next to trap and saw that small 1” size rodent where not heavy enough to activate the small trap, but the would activate the medium, something to think about when making your purchase, I do recommend this trap I had no problems with anything over 2” but mom had rats nesting with pups so trap didn’t catch them, also found the hole they nawd so the could get in and filled it with rodent foam. My 4 star instead of 5 was because of the little ones

Set it in side or out side then i can see who try to creep in or around
Add a piece of roti chicken skin on the tray and check it out next day, so far it trap 5 of little mice..(If you want to set it very sensible even a little mice can trigger the trap, bend up a little bit the long arm that hanging on control level from the tray so it shorten the trigger arm that every small movement will trigger the trap).
