Poor quality ribbon but great customer service

The circles on the sea crystal blue ribbon wash off during the first wash. I followed the recommend washing direction. I love the other cloth though with the animals on it. It is all soft muslin where as the ribbon on is is a cloth diaper with ribbon sewn on. I wish they were both the soft muslin. I was very disappointed after I washed this since the paint came off the dots so I contacted customer service at Swaddle Designs. I have to say they were wonderful. They got right back to me. They offered me a store credit or an exchange stating that people usually never complain about the quality. I loved the colors and the animal burpie so much that I decided to exchange for a new one. The same thing happened to the new one but I am just going to keep it at this point. I have another set of these these. The Sterling Owls and Sparklers Duo. The polka dot ribbon on that set has held up no problem so it is weird this ribbon washed off of this set. Anyway, I hope in the future they think about making a set that includes both cloths being made of the soft muslin material and do a better job of quality testing the materials they use.

Soft and absorbent

I have a baby that spits up ALOT! So I bought a few different brands of burp cloths that were highly rated and these are my 2nd favorite. These cloths are the softest of all the burp cloths I have, which is nice because your baby's face is smashed into it when their being burped. They are very absorbent!!! The only reason I didn't give these burp cloths 5 stars was because the corners weren't properly sewn together. They aren't unraveling or anything, it just doesn't look nice. I'm sure you could cut them off and dab some liquid stitch on there, and you would never know

Excellent burp cloths!

Love these burp clothes!! These are our "go-to" burp clothes out of all the ones we own, and I even went back to buy several more so these are pretty much all we use. They not only have adorable patterns, but they are nice and thick so they are very absorbent. It's like the same material used for cloth diapers, therefore, very absorbent even for the big spit up messes that do happen. With other burp clothes, they would stay wet even with a small spit up and didn't seem to absorb the mess as well, that's why we love these ones, because again, they are very absorbent!

they are beautiful, but almost too beautiful--- I find myself turning ...

Functionally, they are not as absorbant as I hoped, despite the central cushioned portion. Aesthetically, they are beautiful, but almost too beautiful--- I find myself turning to my inexpensive Dundee cloths because they work well and I don't feel guilty going through 2-3/day when I have so many and can just wash them when I get to it. In the end, I wouldn't buy these again, but they are pretty.

The best burp cloths!

My wife and I quickly learned that you can never have enough burp cloths with a newborn. The SwaddleDesigns Baby Burpies quickly became our favorites. The fabric is thicker and multilayered in the middle to help improve absorbency. We prefer the ones without the ribbon strips as the ribbon is not absorbent and gets in the way. I would recommend loading up on these if you have a new born!

Cute and functional

These Burpies are very cute and they get the job done as far as burping and absorbing breast milk. They are holding up well through several washings and bleaching. The size is perfect compared to some others that we have that are too big or small.
