Okay, all I wanted was an old fashioned weekend handyman cheap countersink. Was surprised they are so difficult to find! Found this one on Amazon - and liked the hex shaft so got it. I have to confess, I did not expect the manufacturer to go the extra mile and actually save me time and energy by chipping one of the edges for me! That is right! It arrived with a chip in on one of the edges. For my purposes - it still works just fine. This tool is fine for the weekend handyman (handywoman? - I don't know what is politically correct these days? Then again - I don't really care!) who has a home project he wants to do, who likes fiddling around the house and doesn't want to spend a bundle on tools. It is not for someone who has his own home workshop and is a perfectionist. It is not for someone who needs it in doing their job - unless they have tools walk away on a regular basis - then - get this and leave it out in plain sight.

Ok not Great

I gave this tool a 3 star because at first it was working Amazing but then I was not able to attach the drill bits back onto the holder causing me frustration... the drill bits were still useable but was not able to use the tool holder...had to buy me a new one at a local harbor freight store.

The handle is well designed and the cutting ends can go on your power tool if you desire to use it that way.

Works a little better than expected for the price

Works a little better than expected for the price. Great for wood, soft metal, or plastic. Steel will wear it out with more than ocasional use.

works well for countersinking in wood & plastic. i don't have to go out into the garage to use the drill press. i mainly use it for electronics projects.

Great countersink

This tool does what I need it to do. I am very satisfied. It comes in a nice wood box.

Good bits, bad handle

I'll start out with the good. The bits are sharp though I may tune them a bit. They create nice, clean holes either by hand or with a drill. The wood case is also a nice touch. The handle is another story. The bits don't hold well. It seemed like there was a bit of magnetism at first but it was very week. There is a hole that looks like it was intended to have a set screw but it wasn't tapped and no set screw was provided. I ended up taking a 10x32 set screw from another tool. After drilling and tapping it now holds the bit tightly. If anyone else is doing this best to use an 8x32 set screw as I think you could tap directly in the exitsing hole...I didn't measure so just an assumption.

Nice little tool.

In addition its countersink function the handle accepts standard screwdriver bits. I found this a nice bonus, to be able to remove the bit from my electric drill and use it as a manual screwdriver for more delicate applications. Quality is good. A nice little tool.

useless in steel

Almost ok for aluminum, useless in steel. Had to grind my own edges onto the csinks. Just save up and buy a good 1/2" Csink from Noga instead.

Love this product

Love this product. Very helpful to have for all kinds of projects when you want a simple countersink for a screwhole.
