lovely slip cover

lovely cover, i liked the pattern and it initially fit well, but the zipper broke after a couple seatings.

Turned out well...for a couple months

Update: Before it was 3 months old it looked like hell. I have no kids and no pets. Then, why does it look so crappy, you say? Well, I'll tell you. It pills and is a lint magnet to the max. I keep a lint roller hidden behind the chair so that I can hurriedly whip it out - especially before company comes. It still looks like garbage. Why don't you just take it off, you say? Well, I'll tell you. Number one: I may have foolishly stapled it in place with heavy duty staples for a more appealing fit. Number two: Though it is the comfiest chair ever, it may have the most outdated, ugly original upholstery ever...at least when compared with the sleek looking newer furniture in the other part of my living room. I am going to have to eventually remove this as I have become increasingly ashamed of its filthy, pilly appearance. (It looks dirty but the discoloration came from a teal colored throw. It also picks up all lint from clothing when people sit on it. Look at the second photo if you dare. The first one is the "before" obviously. I had just put it on. The second one is now. A close up of the arm shows the pilling and dark lint. It's embedded and won't come off with the lint roller. Could you imagine what it would look like if I had a dog...and nobody even sits on it that much!) I think I paid way too much for this result. This weekend, knowing that I will be having company for Thanksgiving, I actually tried shaving off some of the pills with an electric razor. Didn't work so I will be hiding the worst parts with a throw until I have time to read dress covering the chair and ottoman. Original review: I wanted to redecorate my living room but the colors on my old Broyhill chair and ottoman were a show stopper for what I wanted to do. The chair used to be navy blue and cream stripes with a heavy floral pattern running through the stripes. With a little tucking and the use of some quilter-sized 4 inch safety pins, I was able to achieve a reasonably good looking, smooth appearance. Knocking off one star because the fabric is a little more sheer than I expected. You can still see some of the old pattern showing from under the cover. However, I waited until this was marked down and I got it at a fairly reasonable price so I'm not too disappointed. If I had paid full price, I would have been disappointed. It took some work getting it to do what I needed but now that I have it in place, I can go ahead and redecorate my living room. I was able to great a cozy reading nook that blends with the rest of the space for a fraction of the cost of new furniture.

Absolutely gorgeous

We just acquired ours yesterday in oyster and it is absolutely gorgeous! It was not too hard to put on, with two of us we put it on and tucked it in, smoothed out any wrinkles, etc within about 20 minutes. This was our first time using a slipcover, so that is not bad. It took a bit of adjusting, but we did it and it hugs the furniture quite smoothly and the fabric looks fantastic. On our 97" couch the seams pull only a bit at the arm, this has me a tad concerned, but I wrote to enquire about this. The fabric is very stretchy, so it may be fine. It is very soft to sit on and the textures are clear and beautiful. We love the oyster color with our very soft ivory-peach livingroom color and our soft gold rug. The oyster colored product has only a very slight hint of brownish/ivory, just to be aware.It is a bit weird to have the slip cover without the matching pillows, but fortunately they do make the matching pillow slipcovers. I gave it four stars instead of five, because of the slight stretch of the seams at the arm, but the reader should be aware that our couch is an odd 97" instead of 96" which this product is designed to fit. How long it lasts is a matter of a waiting period to find out. I will post an update. Again, it is just gorgeous. UPDATE: I just heard back that the pillow covers can not be custom made. Too Expensive

In my opinion, Sure Fit covers are usually overpriced and this is no exception. The only reason why I paid $92 for this overpriced sofa cover was because I wanted to protect a lovely antique sofa and this was the only product I could find that covers a sofa with T cushions. I wish another manufacturer would make covers for furniture with T cushions and sell them at a reasonable price. I haven't had a chance to wash it yet so I can't comment on that. I attached a photo. The sofa I have is beautiful and not your 'run of the mill' shape so I would say that this cover is passable in fit and appearance. I have not seen any fuzz balls on it nor does it appear to shed. The material is relatively strong and stretchy. It appears to be sewed well (no rips / no tears / no loose seams), which is always a plus. Update: I searched further and there are much more reasonably priced covers for sofas with T cushions. Read their descriptions carefully and subrtex makes universal covers that fit sofas with box or T cushions.

Excellent value

The cover was easy to install fits well. Still need to use T-pins or twist pins and slipcover foam filler to secure . Generously sized. Very pleased with the look and feel of the fabric.

Great for pet free home

Attracts hair like CRAZY. Which is not a great thing when you have pets. However, it fits very nice, and looks very nice (when it isn't covered in hair).

Looks good but doesn't last

I have had this product now for a little over a month/2 months. The Fit is good and it is as described however we already have small holes appearing in fabric on the seat cushions. Might hold up better if you don't have kids or pets.

Could not make this fit....

This cover looks lovely but would not fit my sofa. If I were able to use tacks & pins....I still do not think it would fit. Anyway..the whole purpose of the purchase was easy on & off! I am not sure whether or not it is the quality but the elastic bottom was sooo slack, it needn't have even been there. I will be returning & trying another one.
