I Like it. Assemble carefully
The stand is nice looking and study. In fact I just ordered a second one for our lanai. I can see where some people may have had trouble assembling it. Maybe this might help. 1.) Unthread the screws (studs) from the shelves and reinsert them before assembly of the shelves to the legs. The screws are only partially threaded in the shelves and in the case of half of them they were not straight. Take them out insert straight and then screw all the way back in. (Since they are studs in order to get them out and put them back in you need to put two nuts on the stud them you can remove and tighten them using a wrench on the nuts). 2.) Check the bottom and top shelf alignment with the holes on the legs to get the best fit. This would involve using one or the other as the top or bottom shelf and also rotating the shelves 180 degrees to see where you get the best alignment. 3.) Use a rubber hammer gently tap where the fit is a little tight until the screws goes through the holes. 4.) Attach the nuts to the screws loosely. Do not tighten. 5.) Put shelf unit upright on the floor where it will sit. Put some weight on it until the feet on the bottom bottom of the legs sit squarely on the floor. Then tighten the nuts in a criss cross alternating pattern a little at a time until all are tightened with similar torque. Do not over tighten because cast iron can crack if forced. These are not instructions specific to this particular unit, but just basic assembly knowledge that can apply to putting together many such things.

Pretty but imperfect
It’s really attractive and the metal is good. But it’s very imprecise. It doesn’t “fit” quite right when assembled. I like it enough to keep it, but I wouldn’t buy another.

Rip off
Screws were cut off and glued n. Pieces did not fit together right. I had to force them into place. It was slanted to one side about 10 degrees once together. I had to force it into an upright position. For $140.00 it was very, very poor quality.

A sturdy stand for a reasonable price.
This is a sturdy well made stand of cast iron. It is heavy & stable & works well outside. It was easy to put together but my husband did have to sand the base a bit to even it out so it doesn't wobble. He also painted it white to match our Victorian style house. Yes it was made in China, for this price you won't get cast iron pieces made elsewhere. And as is the norm nowadays, buy some quality hardware, don't use the parts included. Both shelves have plenty of room for plants or candles or whatever you want to put on it. It gives me a vintage look beside my front door at a price I could afford.

What a shame
If the manufacturer would just do a little qc and spec build these they would be a real winner. We bought 3 and like the looks but nothing is cast to a spec. Pre mounted studs pointing and every different angle, nothing falls together, ( had to bend studs to fit shelves in), and when all assembled legs are not even so either live with rocking table or place 1/2" shim under one leg. Look good, pitifull manufacture

I an not very good at assembly of products
The instruction with this product were in French. I an not very good at assembly of products, but can usually follow instructions. I called the company and although they were sympathetic, they never got back to me about sending the instructions in English. The stand is pretty heavy so it is awkward to put together. I finally got a friend to help me and we finally figured out how to put it together. I did not send it back because it is heavy to carry. It is a nice looking piece, but I would not buy it again.

3rd world garbage, huge waste of money and time
This “plant stand” is a huge disappointment. It was cast behind a hut in some third world country. If there was negative ratings, this would be a -5. Nothing fits, nothing is square, the studs don’t go into the holes and when you finely force fit everything together the whole mess is caddywompas. That’s my polite way of saying “Charlie Foxtrot” piece of garbage.
