Light weight.
Installed and working ! Lighter than most sump pumps. Just make sure you have all the right connections to make the replacement install go smoothly.

Surprisingly Powerful
Got 2 to replace old pumps. This is surprisingly powerful for how small it is. The only drawback is it will torque itself when it kicks on. If using for long term you will need to go back and make regular adjustments because of how much it torques and moves out of place then ended up locking itself in the on position. We ended up needing to hang ours 1 inch off the ground and it isn't giving us any trouble. Little buggers are definitely paying themselves off. When the rainy season was at its peak, little guys were going almost all night staying ahead of the overflow of water. We added an additional 24 foot hose and had to pump water 5 feet up then out. This was next to the pump, watched the source and there was little to no water coming back down the hose to the pump. It's getting 4 stars cause of how many adjustment we had to make to find the right solution to avoid it getting stuck on.

Works well, but the switch might be bit short.
For the price, I think this works very well. Especially, the switch is a separate part, so you can just replace the switch if it goes bad. That also means you can use different type of switch. The pump itself, it's quieter than I expected. So far, it's working very well. Only problem was, the seller I bought was terrible at packaging, and just put the shipping label on top of the bare box. Because of this, the center hole in the floater misaligned and did not move. Some tweaking with screw driver fixed it, though. And one note... The length of float switch is bit short, and because of this, you will probably notice the unit engages rather often. FYI, the switch is very simple. If the floater goes up, it will press the switch at the top. When goes down, there is a rubber stopper at the bottom, and that pulls out the switch. So, you can use something like a long straw and glue that to that rod, and move that rubber stopper to the end of straw. Just make sure nothing sticks out in the middle which can interfere the movement of the floater. Then, take out the switch (there are only two screws at the top), and somehow tie it to the outlet pipe. In my case, Boston Market drink straw worked well. It was longer than others and has perfect inner diameter. (Could be different by the region, though) Now, my switch's length is a lot longer than the original.

Great for small sump holes - buy this one, not the kind with the floating ball
My house was built in 1805. Needless to say, the basement is unfinished and I have two sump pump holes because water gets into the basement. For about half a year, I had been struggling to adjust the flotation ball of my other sump pump so that it would turn on and off correctly. Given the small size of the hole and its shallow depth, I couldn't get it to work. So I turned to amazon and found this model. The flotation device is attached to the actual pump. As the water rises, it clicks a switch, turning on the pump. Then, once the flotation device gets low enough, it shuts off the pump. It works perfectly. Since installation, there has only been one time that the pump has wedged itself in the "on" position, which I fixed by better anchoring the pump in the hole. Buying this pump was way cheaper than making a larger, deeper hole. Make sure to buy a check valve with the pump. This allows you to pump water up and outside of your basement. And be smart - Home Depot runs out of these things during rainy season. Get yourself a backup, because they don't last forever. And the last thing you need is to be using a shop vac at 3 am during the middle of a rain storm, and then go to the store in the morning to find that they ran out of the pumps - again.

Really shoots the water
During heavy rains we tend to get flooding from a drainage ditch next to our house and I needed a way to pump some of the water out so it would not come into the house. I picked this one due to the high output and the automatic on and off using the optional float. It works perfectly and has saved me numerous headaches. I did have a problem with the float at one time and the pump did not turn on when it was supposed to and caused some minor water damage to my house. I called the customer service number and they were extremely helpful. They gave me some troubleshooting tips that unfortunately did not work for me so they immediately sent out a brand new float to me and the pump has worked perfectly the past 3 rain storms. Definitely a good company that I would buy from again.

A well made sump pump
The sump pump was easy to set up and use. Trying using a sump pump with a tethered float switch in a slopped sink and the water flowed over the sink. Using the Superior Pump which has a vertical float switch, turn the pump on way before the sink filled up with backed up sewage water. The pump also works without using the vertical float switch.

Good pump
I liked the design and price of this pump. I wish there was an adjusting water level to turn on the switch so I improvised and added a straw on top of the floater. It keep the water level low which is what I was looking for. Much quieter than all my previous pump

Works well.
The drain pit in my garage is a tight fit. The other pump with a regular floater would not go off/on as the floater would get stuck somehow. Wish the total height of the ump be smaller so the clearance with the lid be higher
