To painful to use if you have bad hips
This is probably a great portable elliptical machine for most but I can barely lift it let alone use it. The amount of pain I was in after only 1 try wasn’t worth it to me. Perhaps if I was stronger and healthier

Nice
The media could not be loaded. Some folks might be saying the move movements are choppy and that's partially true. They're only choppy when you're putting minimal effort into moving your foot back forth. Just pushing with your toes will cause a choppy effect. If you use your entire foot to push the movement improves. I don't like the chair I have to sit and do it because it isn't enough height to get fluent movement in a forward pedal, but if pedal backwards it works. You cannot be lazy with this machine if minimal effort is your intention don't get it and put a bad review. The only other thing is that I am clumsy and need a bar to balance so I should've picked another model with a bar so that's my mistake not the company but if they want to put a bar then great!

Great for small spaces!
Updated 2/25/2021 Ended up returning the elliptical not because there's anything wrong with it but because there's something wrong with me! I have bad ankles and this elliptical made them hurt. My guess is that it's because of the small stride because a full size elliptical never bothered my ankles. Re-boxing and returning the item was easy. My refund was issued as soon as I dropped it off at the drop off location. Original Review Have had this product for one week now and this is my review of it at this point. Will update if anything changes. I purchased this particular elliptical because I live in a tiny basement apartment, about 300 sq ft, and have no room for a full size elliptical. This one fits nicely in the space next to my dresser. The video in the ad shows the woman effortlessly putting this elliptical on a shelf. This unit weighs 25 lbs. I can lug it around but not carry it around easily. I suggest lifting something that weighs 25 lbs to get a realistic idea of how heavy it will be. As expected, this unit has a very small stride. Thats fine for me because I'm only 5 ft tall with short legs. A tall person might not like it. It took a few tries to get my rhythm right so it was smooth pedalling. But after some practice (and reading the instructions! LOL) I can now keep it going. You have to put your feet at the front of the pedals if you're using it standing up, and make sure the unit is turned so that the handle is to the back. You should be able to read the display while you're standing on it. If the display is upside down, it's turned the wrong way. I included a picture of the instructions for that. I am not coordinated enough to use this elliptical without holding on to something. Maybe someday. It works perfect to put my kitchen chair in front of it. I like to set it up in front of the door so I can bird watch while I'm pedalling. I thought about returning this elliptical and purchasing another one made by the same company that has handles but takes up the same floor space. It also has a larger stride. It costs $30 more. I'm still thinking that through. Overall, this product is well made and serves it's purpose well as long as you don't expect it to perform like the big ones at the gym. Would recommend.

Considering the price, it works. Best used sitting. You could stand if you have good balance, but stride is a bit short and a bit awkward.

For its size, it packs a punch
This mini elliptical is very compact if you don't have a large space for exercise equipment. It does not have a long stride like more expensive ellipticals but with the resistance up to 8, you will definitely feel the burn in your legs. You can use this elliptical standing or sitting. Very well made and quiet.

Started loud... got better... no customer service
The media could not be loaded. Original post: I was upstairs when my wife opened this and I knew the moment she started using it downstairs because I could hear it and it sounded like a mix of grinding brake pads and nails on a chalk board. I tried adjusting the resistance but that changed nothing related to the horrific sound. I bought this for her for a valentines present (failed there) so that she could keep herself moving while she is stuck at her desk with her workload keeping her sick at her desk for so much of her day. Maybe if she wears noise canceling headphones she could use this while she works but I'm not sure she could convince other participants in zoom meetings to do the same. My only hope is that customer service has some miracle fix but the automatic response from their service email says due to the high volume of inquiries to expect a response in 7-14 days. That says so much about the quality of their product and their customer service. I'll update this if they prove me wrong. Update: it took about three weeks of my wife using it but it finally became quiet. I guess it took that long for whatever greases all the moving parts to get into everything but it is finally quiet. Customer service never contacted me in regard to my plea for help with the sound of I might move my rating a little higher.

Pedals backwards rather than forwards
This product is a really good calorie burner. It feels like you've been on a fast walk after only 5 minutes. It doesn't have a handle but you can balance using a bookshelf. It works smoothly and, has good height. Pedaling forward, as it is natural for walking, involves jerky movement. Pedaling backward gives you the smooth, natural flow of walking. You can also pedal sitting down using a chair higher than, say an armchair. Best thing about sitting down is the many things you can do while exercising. In addition, check the return policy of this item before purchasing. This company doesn't service Canada so if you need to return it, make sure you can.

Good Compact Machine for Daily Cardio
Have had this for just over a year now. It's ok if you have limited space and budget for a cardio machine. The max resistance pretty much gave out after a month of standing use. My workaround is to fireman carry a 33lb Bulgarian bag over my shoulders while stepping it out. It squeaks and requires maintenance from time to time. I remove the crankshaft, pedals, and wheel bearings and grease these when it gets too squeaky, otherwise I just throw on a pair of headphones and watch tv and hike for an hour. Cardio burn is around 150 - 250 per hour depending on how fast you hike. Pair this up with Nintendo Fitness Boxing for a fun workout. This increases your stride speed and engages your upper body and core, burning upwards of 2k - 3k calories per hour.

Maybe just mine was a lemon
Product works well and is smooth and quiet. However, the one I received has a knocking in the wheel on the left side. I'm not sure if this is an isolated issue, but it makes the unit loud and annoying. Note too that this is quite heavy. That is good if you want stability but not so good if you want to move it around a lot. I also found that using this in a standing position was very challenging unless you have something nearby to grab for balance. Perhaps with practice, one might be able to balance and get a rhythm, but it is not easy to operated in this way.

Quiet and satisfied

Not Great
Although I appreciate the fact that it is lightweight, sturdy in build and great for small spaces it does not run smoothly or motions like an elliptical. It moves more like a unicycle bike. I'm a small framed person in good shape and I found this piece of equipment awkward and difficult to use. If you were just using it while sitting or under your desk you would probably be fine but not a good piece of equipment if you want to get a good cardio in with some speed. I found I focused mostly on trying to keep my balance and not falling off more than on the workout. Word of warning....shipped for free but NOT HAPPY about the $70 it cost me to return the item
