Overall a good disc
I've been using a 60gr disc on my 12" stationary sander for some time now. 99% usage has been wood and it has held up well. I just changed it and it was still well adhered. The adhesive had to be removed with Goo Gone and some Xylene and a straight edged razor blade. I would buy these discs again.

Count the disc! You may be missing a few.
When the box of sanding disk arrived I pulled out the disc and began to label the backside of the disc. Low and behold, I was shorted 2 disc right from the package. I was missing the 120 grit. Not a huge deal and hardly worth my time but worth mentioning to Amazon. Otherwise, the 80 grit that I took out of the box and installed works great.

poor adhesive excellent wear and abrasive quality
I have been a professional wood worker for the past 20 year's, while the disk's are of good quality and the abrasive last's a long time even with heavy sanding the adhesive is very inadequate. I ensure that my aluminum disk is clean prior to adhering a new sanding disk to it, waiting to ensure that all the denatured alcohol has had sufficient time to flash off. I have had to add craft adhesive to these disk's because i have had 2 of them come flying off ! I was cut by one of them as it flew across my shop, The abrasive is excellent on these disk's i even have used them to grind soft metal and they held up far better then i had expected them too. The abrasive is even better then my 3m disk's i normally use, i would have given them 5 star's if not for the adhesive issue, the craft spray work's but is far more of a pain to remove when changing disk's. All in all they are ok for the money,

Proven quality
I bought my disc sander used 26 years ago. I’ve been abusing these sanding discs since I bought it. Used mostly on wood but steel also from time to time. I clean it regularly with a rubber sandpaper cleaning block. Outstanding quality.

these disks stick poorly to the platen i had to use a heat gun to get them to stick to the clean metal surface a big pain

The sanding grit seems fine. However, after I installed the sanding disk on my belt/disk sander, and used it for a couple of weeks, the glue fatigued and the disk is starting to come away from the disk. Be advised, that I scraped the disk free of old glue and residue and cleaned it with alcohol before adhering this new sanding disk. So, I am not too happy about its separating from the disk so soon. I simply pressed it back against the disk and went ahead sanding. So far, it is still on the disk, but I am fearful that the glue used on these self-adhesive sanding disks is not of great quality or they may have been sitting around in stock for a couple of years causing the adhesive to fatigue over time. We will see. What can you do these days? You can not trust the manufacturer of products like these days like you could in the old days (40 years ago).

Not Norton/3M....but way cheaper
Good deal, good quality. If you need the best of the best of the best, this probably isn't it. But for hobbyist use, they work just fine. Decent adhesive (but not so sticky you can't get the damn thing off your sander disc), sands quite well. Clogs a little bit more than average, I'd say -- nothing worth freaking out over. Will leave some debris/dust as you bend them during install, suggesting the abrasive is not bonded super-well to the backing, but it's not terrible. All around good deal.

Sungold 12" PSA Disc
Tried this sandpaper for the first time and am fairly satisfied with the product. I have used sandpapers for many years, so I am kind of a tough on products as far as expectations. Although I wouldn't classify this product as production grade, I would classify it as a good grade. If you need a heavy backing disc (from "e" - "j" weight), this is not it. However, I am using it to clean up cuts on mild grade steel cut with a torch, and it is holding up respectfully. It is also priced very well for the quality and durability aspect. I do plan on buying more of these discs in more varied grits. Lynn
