Nicely built tool.

Looks like it has been dropped and chipped off the paint. Not a dealbreaker but lately I’ve been getting plenty of this type of stuff.

Great Tool, Great Price!

Best single use tool for the money. I had no experience working with sheet metal and needed to create an 18" x 20" cap to protect a sheet of wood from the elements. After researching tools and techniques for bending sheet metal, I was pretty discouraged, thinking I'd end up with edges that looked terrible from trying to hammer out a bend. Then I found this tool on Amazon and realized I could get it in 12". Once the sheet metal was cut to size, I was able to make straight 1" bends on all 4 sides within 5 minutes. I ran into some trouble on the first side because I bent one section of the run too far and had some difficulty sliding the tool down to complete the remaining half of the side. On the remaining sides, I made a partial bend and then slide the tool down to the other half of the side. A couple back and forth bends and the side was done!

Good, wished the slot was thinner

Wished they had ones with thinner slots and thinner material (maybe stainless or something more rigid) for the more precise work that I do (not AC).

Made quick work bending ductwork for cleats

I used this mostly to bend up rectangular hvac ducting for the drive cleats. Used the 1" side to build flanges on a custom 6x10 register box I made to rivet into the side of a 10x3.25 rectangular duct. Worked great for that too. I dropped it a couple times and it held together.... read about other brands breaking at the welds, no issues with this one.

Just as good as Malco for $10 less

I do HVAC professionally and use this tool everyday I had a malco as my last boot bender but it was lost on a job site. (Hate it when that happens!) went to replace it with another malco and saw this at first I was skeptical because it’s about $10 cheaper than the malco, but after receiving it I assure you this is just as high of quality product as the name brand. And I like that it is orange will be much easier to see in a tool bag and make sure it is not left somewhere like my old one. Great product save your money and go with this brand!

Broke on second use

I’m a HVAC tech and colleague has the grey version of this bar folder so I thought I was getting the same one just a different colour, after using it to fold 10” of 24ga sheet metal it split and cracked and now the edges aren’t parallel anymore so it makes a terrible bends in the sheet metal.

works well, probably generally better for HVAC or lighter gauges of roofing, flashing etc. I do use it for 26 ga. roofing however and it is way better than 3" bender on a long run. 24 ga. would be more of a challenge. Not a whole lot of leverage with the bar, maybe I should fit a handle on it as there doesn't seem to be a product like that for field use.

Ça vaut vraiment la peine. Un 20$ bien investi. On sauve plusieurs coup de poignets. Bien construit.
