Fooled again, damn it
So the reason I bought this item was to add to my tool kit in my camper. My wife and I just recently purchased our first camper. Just a little used 19’ trailer. But hey, we’re just getting our feet wet before we make a major commitment to something bigger and better. Well I’m admittedly a bit of a preparedness nut who loves any excuse to buy more tools. lol. So I’m putting together a bag just for the camper. I have one of these guys in all my kits. Very useful tool. Nothing worse than trying to dig out that nut you dropped down into the bowels of your engine with a coat hanger and a flashlight. These things are lifesavers! This one is reasonably strong and solid. I particularly like the bright orange color, easy to locate in my tool bag. Magnet is actually fairly impressive strength. But here’s the issue: I chose this one because I have owned many tools by Uhlman. I live just up the road from their headquarters in Ridgefield, CT. And I always try to support local first and particularly American. I didn’t do my research. It’s made in China ????????. I hate that. I’m not gonna bother to go to the hassle of returning it and just chucking it in the trash is foolish and wasteful. But I’m irritated with myself for assuming it was made in the USA ????????. Stupid me. I can’t recommend it. I’m sorry but I love my country too much. Do a little more research than I did and buy American whenever you possibly can. It matters. Thanks for reading

Very handy tool. Magnet is powerful for its small size.
The media could not be loaded. This is a review of the Ullman Devices No.15XOR Super-Strength Pocket Magnetic Pick-up Tool, Bright Orange, 5-7/8" to 25-9/16", Lifts 1-1/2 lb. I also purchased at the same time as this one, an SK magnetic pick-up tool model 90344. The Ullman tool is very similar to the SK tool. Both have a pocket clip on the handle, both have a small yet powerful magnet on the tip which is 1/4" in diameter. There are two differences between the two. First, the SK tool has a larger diameter handle that is more grippy in the hand. Additionally, the SK tool has a knurled sleeve that helps you guide the telescoping magnet to its destination. Otherwise, these two tools are very similar. I would not be surprised if the actual magnet and telescoping wand come out of the same factory. The Ullman tool is made in China whereas the SK tool has no country of origin on it so it's not clear to me where it comes from. This is an indispensable tool. Comes in so handy to pick up dropped screws, washers, nails, etc when those little buggers fall into otherwise impossible to reach locations. This was purchased as an add-on item and you can't beat the price. The SK tool was nearly $10.

Small and thin
I don't think this would pick up a very large or heavy tool. But it is perfect for checking read switches on factory automated systems.

Perfect tool for refurbishing bicycle hub bearings
The small size yet powerful magnet makes it easy to retrieve bicycle bearings from a wheel hub for cleaning and re-greasing. The magnet allows for several bearings to be extracted at once as they cling together in the magnetic field. Using this tool, it is less likely to drop and lose a bearing. The magnetic field is strong enough to extract bearings even when buried in the thickest of greases. It is the perfect tool for this and many similar applications.

Compact pocket size with a very strong magnet
I've used a lot of magnetic pickup tools over my 25 years in auto repair and this one has to be one of my best purchases. Fits great in a uniform shirt pocket and a very strong magnet. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed

Very weak magnet..
Not a Great Value for My Money..looks nice...it is sturdy..not flimsy...however the strength of the magnetic end is rather Weak...I use these daily at work..I have a cheaper flimsy magnet I got at a local parts store..The comparable size magnetic tip is much more powerful. Kinda bummed....Jeffrey!!!
