Streamlight Scorpion X LED

Great light in a small package. Very bright, great for self defense. The activation button at the end of the handle takes some getting used to but it works. Best method is to use it for temporary light meaning that you keep your thumb on the switch for as long as you need it. If you select one particular lighting [light, strobe or reduced lighting], once you have it, then depress the switch fully, which could take some doing. But I like the light and the way it functions. The light, when set down, will not roll, which is great. All in all a very good flashlight and small, compact. Beats my heavy 5-cell Keli light from the old days for brightness and "lightness."

Good BUT....some drawbacks

This is overall a great flashlight. The beam is solid and wil light up any area with ease. The strobe feature is a great and gets the attention of anyone you shine it towards. The downfall comes with the short battery life, but it's the trade off or having a compact yet powerful light. The rubber handle on my tore within a month of use. The tail cap some times makes it hard to swap from hi-med-lo strobe.

Another Excellent Streamlight product!!!

I have a fetish for flaslights, multitools and pocketknives. I have a whole collection of flashlights from Mags to Surfefire. My favorites of them all are the Streamlight products and the Scorpion X does not disapoint. It's not the highest output of my tacticles, but is more than adequate and even though others put out more lumens, the beam quality of the Scorpion is noticeably better even compared to far more expensive units. I also love the feel of the rubberized body. It's very efficient as well, not chewing up batteries as quickly as its stable mates. Great light.

it's an okay flashlight.

Good flashlight, have had for over a year Now. When I first received this flashlight I was very impressed. The light was incredibly bright! After a year of pretty consistent use, the push button on the back has a hole in it, the rubber grip on the flashlight has stretched out and looks funky, and it has formed this weird habit where when you turn it off, the light stays on producing a bare 10 lumen max. It isn't much but its enough to eat through the pricey cr123's. I have recently moved on to a rechargeable stinger led from streamlight. Streamlight has quality products but remember when you are purchasing lower end products from streamlight, you get what you pay for. This flashlight is not for everyday use. For something you keep in your drawer in case the electricity went out, this would be perfect. If at all possible, I would look at finding a rechargeable flashlight. The cr123 are a pain in the butt to deal with.

basically a hand held car headlight

I've had this for over a year now and love it. I've gone through a set or two of batteries (You can buy em at Home Depo / Lowes). You can tell when the batteries are dying as the output goes down significantly. when the batteries start going you still have a lot of life on low output which is still as good or better than most flashlights. Soft rubber is great when your hands are busy and you hold it in your mouth. Great for travel.

Not 18650 compatible

An otherwise fantastic flashlight is ruined by the very limiting variety of batteries it will accept. I have used flashlights with 18650 and CR123a batteries for a decade now and never have I had a flashlight where the two aren't interchangeable until now. I have my standard go to 18650 Nitecore batteries that I have trusted in my batteries for a few years now and they are too wide to fit in this battery. Sure enough the CR123a's that were in the flashlight died and now I need more. It just seems like a waste to require throw away batteries and that the rechargeable types won't fit. I'm going to try a rechargeable CR123a but I have a feeling it will meet the same fate. I don't think streamlight would have lost anything from making this flashlight compatible with 18650. Instead, they focus on selling batteries after the fact too...which I find to be a huge waste of resources.

POWERFUL & BRIGHT

We were given one by my husbands work. They are very powerful. Will light up an entire room if you shine at the ceiling. The batteries are pricey, so don't use it for little jobs. We got this one for a neighbor who comes home alone late at night. She loved that it lit up her garage so well, making her feel much safer.

基本的にキープパワーやほかの16340充電池は使えないので注意

届いて1番に気づいたことはマイチェンしてるのか画像のチェッカリングのパターンが変更されてることスコーピオンHLと同じパターンになってます、初代スコーピオンと同じパターンを期待して買うとガッカリするかも、あとちょっと太い。ラバーがHLと似てるけど防水性はHLはIPX7に対してXはIPX4です。その次に意外だったのが16340充電池が使えないこと、これはちょっと計算外でした。おそらく原因はスコーピオンXのボディがスコーピオンLEDより短いのが原因かと思います（キセノンモデルは持ってないため不明）自分が持ってる充電池はキープパワーとエスクターの充電池ですが入れても点灯不良起こします・・・ですが！スコーピオン同士はボディやヘッドは互換性があるのでスコーピオンLEDとスコーピオンXを持ってる人で尚且つスコーピオンXをメインに使いたいという人はスコーピオンLEDのボディにスコーピオンXのヘッドを付けると充電池が使えるようになります。スコーピオンLEDのボディのほうがスイッチが程よい硬さで使いやすいのでカスタムして使うのがおすすめです。基本的には優秀なライトなので充電池使わない人ならおすすめです、lowモードで50時間も使えるので。
