Best flashlight for night flying that I have found

I am thoroughly impressed with the Streamlight flashlight that offers both white and red LED options. Initially, it was a bit challenging to identify the correct product number that would provide the specific color version I needed, but with some research on the Streamlight website, I was able to find the right one by reviewing the product summary and color options. Paired with the Streamlight 14059 Elastic Headstrap, it has resulted in the most comfortable and efficient headlamp I have ever used. This flashlight is ideal for pilots during night flight and preflight, camping, and any task that requires hands-free lighting. This flashlight boasts a range of impressive features, including adjustable angle of view, adjustable brightness, strobe options, and multiple color outputs. It is lightweight, durable, and has a long battery life with the included battery. I already own a few other Streamlight products, and they are all of exceptional quality. I wholeheartedly recommend this flashlight to anyone in need of a dependable and versatile lighting option. Not as bright as I thought it would be.

Being a streamlite product I thought it would be brighter. It has an adapter for weapons but don't get it for that, which I didn't. I got it for around the camp as a headlight but it doesn't come with the strap for it. If that's what you're getting it for you need to buy that as well. The ir light doesn't work on mine but the blue and red lights do. It has a function where you hold the button and it will cycle through the different brightness'.

decent product in market with few good options

pros: good white light output myriad of mounting options takes 123 and AA batteries decent form factor relatively cheap compared to other options cons: when mounted to helmet "turns" to easily on mount IR light output is low only good for very close (watching footing/administrative tasks) blue and red light have little use for me as a civi mounts are sold separate

Utilitarian and tacticool.

Seems to not immediately burn out when fed rechargeable ultrafire 16340 lipo cells. Guess I'll find out on my next nighttime airsoft game. Will update as things develop.

Light only. No accessories

The light is nice and is as advertised except that it didn't come with the shown accessories. Mainly the helmet mount.

Sieht taktisch aus

Nach Erhalt der Lampe habe ich sie zu Hause ausprobiert und bin im Anschluss mit dem Hund und der Lampe durch den Wald. Da es dunkel war, konnte ich die Leuchtweite, Helligkeit und Handhabung testen. Hier bleibt festzustellen, dass es für weniger Geld effektivere Lampen gibt. Taktisch betrachtet ist die Sidewinder aber ausreichend. Was aber weder zivil und schon gar nicht taktisch ausreicht, ist die Tatsache, dass der Druckknopf der Lampe nach 15 Minuten Fußmarsch und normaler Bedienung den Geist aufgab. Der Service war schnell und unkompliziert. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit nach Verbindungsaufnahme bekam ich ein Ersatzmodell. Dieses funktioniert einwandfrei. Fazit: Eine taktisch anmutende Stirnlampe, die angenehm leicht und klein ist. Leider muss das Stirnband separat gekauft werden. Der Preis ist m.M.n. nicht gerechtfertigt.

IR oder spielt es überhaupt eine Rolle?

Also ich habe die Lampe ausprobiert. Das weislicht ist zwar auf 10meter hell, verliert jedoch danach schnell die Leuchtkraft. Das Rotlicht ist besser als bei teureren Lampen, hell und geht bis zu 8 Metern weit und man kann sich gut im Camp damit fortbewegen, auch das lesen ist ohne Probleme möglich. Das blaue Licht strahlt zwar heller aber nicht weiter und man kann es nicht auf längere Sicht einsetzen, der Schweiß seist gut zu sehen. Das IR Licht konnte ich nicht testen, auch mit einer IR App nicht für meine Kamera des IPhone 13. Die Lampe ist komplett aus Kunststoff und dadurch auch sehr leicht. Wie robust sie ist keine Ahnung, wollte sie weder im See versenken noch von einem Felsen fallen lassen. Hatte sie zum nachtklettern und den Dolomiten dabei. Das lagern am See war auch schön. Alles in allem eine gelungene Lampe, die ich weiter empfehlen kann, denn für das Geld bekommt man keine leichtere noch in ihrer Anwendungsbereiche bessere Lampe. Also kaufen kaufen kaufen.

Gute Ausleuchtung

Meiner Meinung nach ist die Ausleuchtung im Zentrum der Ausleuchtung ausreichend hell. Um das Zentrum herum ist die Ausleuchtung geringer aber ausreichend. Dadurch ist zum einen der Übergang vom hellen Zentrum zu dem nicht ausgeleuchteten Bereich weicher und zum anderen werden andere nich so sehr geblendet. Das dürfte sich auch im Dtromverbrauch widerspiegeln. Der wärmere Farbton des Lichts ist angenehmer als die blauen oder weißen LEDs meiner anderen Stirnlampen. Letztendlich ist es eine Frage der Anwendung. Zum Wandern finde ich die Lampe super, für die Fehlersuche im Motorraum würde ich eine Lampe mit gleichmäßiger Ausleuchtung vorziehen.

Wer militär Qualität sucht, findet sie hier

Um eins vorweg zu nehmen, es ist keine klassische Kopflampe. Es ist halt eine militärische Lampe, die Ausstattung sagt wohl alles. Die Qualität ist top. Die Helligkeit ist für das wozu die Lampe gemacht wurde OK. Die Bedienung ist auf "Sicherheit" getrimmt, also gegen versehentliches einschalten. Der Halteclip hat seinen Namen verdient, er hält ultra fest, für manches Kleidungsstück auf Dauer zu fest. Sprich es kann zu Schäden kommen, positiv daran, man verliert die Lampe nicht so schnell. Die Multi Batterie Tauglichkeit ist natürlich mega. Alles in allem ein top Lampe, der Preis ist das einzige wo man meckern kann, allerdings sage ich hier . Man kommt immer dass wofür man bezahlt

Sehr Wertig und robust

Bin wirklich sehr zufrieden mit der Lampe. Qualitativ und sehr robust.Sie macht sehr helles Licht und ist zudem so klein das sie in jede Hosentasche passt. Durch die Befestigungsklammer die auch sehr stabil ist kann man sie überall (Mütze, Jacke) befestigen. Ich habe mir das Stirnband dazu besorgt und kann es auch wirklich als klasse Erweiterung empfehlen.
