A bit stiff and snug

These are the typical, well constructed Ariat boot. I have a pair of size 9 Ariat cowgirl boots (not sure of the style) and love them. Got these for Summer riding and doing barn work. I bought a size 9 in this style, but I find it very snug in the ankle and over the instep where the zipper runs. Being leather, I am sure they will break in over time. However, there is no way I can currently wear these with anything more than a thin trouser sock or knee high nylon. If you need these to wear with any sock of any thickness, buy up 1/2 size. I need these for Summer riding so, I'll keep them. Otherwise, they would be on their way back for a 9 1/2. They will be stiff for a good heel down riding position. But, again, I hope they will break in a bit in time. They also have the typical, slightly loose heel fit as most Ariats. There is a built in tongue behind the zipper to make sure they will be waterproof in that area. Again, the ankle fit is also very stiff and snug. Again, hoping it will loosen up over time. Great tread and I anticipate they will be pretty slip resistant in mud and snow. I have no doubt these will provide years of use.

Narrow Ankles

You must have thin ankles for this boot. No, I don’t think I have huge ankles. Mine are pretty average sized ????????‍♀️ I was able to zip them up, but not comfortably. I wear a size 11 and I’m wondering how the fit of a smaller size is with footbed compared to the ankle width. Maybe the manufacturer designed these to fit smaller feet and used the same mathematical formula to size the ankles on the larger sizes. Who knows?! Either way, I returned these for another pair from Ariat that laced up. Loving them so far. The footbed fit fine for me - I probably could have worn a 10.5 in the foot bed area.

Great but small

First off, don't buy these at your actual size, buy at least 1/2 size larger than you think you will need. They are tight and small, and didn't break in for me. Had to return my first pair of 9's for a 9 1/2, could have probably gone with a 10, too. They are just what I wanted as a great muck/barn/riding boot. They are absolutely waterproof. Even when directly spraying them with a hose to wash off the mud, they kept my feet 100% dry. I use them daily for hard work. No signs of cracks. They are holding up well and still look great when cleaned. Will buy again, but will buy at least 1/2 size larger.

Another great buy from Ariat!

I’ve had one pair of zip up Ariats for years and it was finally time to replace them. I decided on this pair because of the wet winters in OR and so far I’m happy with the decision. The waterproof leather seems to be of good quality and the comfort is as expected, wonderful! I’ve even been wearing them with skinny jeans or legggins for fashion!

Perfect for wet or rainy conditions

I'm a huge fan of Ariat. These boots are perfect for moist wet conditions. I usually don't have to break in my boots but this particular boot took me 5 rides to break in. I'm guessing because of the H2O factor the leather is a bit firmer. Once broken in they are just like my regular ones with the exception that these are used during rain or wet conditions.

Love these boots

Love these boots. Perfect for rough tasks and then, after a wipe down with a cloth, transitioning to a run to the grocery store. Not suitable for the deep mud of my field gardening. Only rubber boots on those occasions. I like the tailored look. They definitely run small. First ordered a 7.5 Medium. Too tight in the ankle and too narrow. Exchanged for an 8 Medium. Fits perfectly.

Great shoes BUT....

I train horses for a living and my biggest problem with these is that they dont last me more than 1 year before I wear them out, the soles start separating or start cracking from wear.

I bought these for my wife who has recently taken up dressage riding and wanted boots that would hold up. So far she is very pleased with these boots during riding and being out in the wet pasture bringing the horses in and out. They keep her feet dry and the boots are comfortable

Toller Schuh, aber am Knöchel/Wadenansatz für mich zu eng

Lieferung war super schnell. Schuh hat an sich von der Länge genau gepasst. Leider wurde er mir am Knöchel/Ansatz der Wade zu eng und ich bekam den Reißverschluss kaum zu. Hab ihn leider zurück schicken müssen. Der Schuh sieht aber super schick aus. Rücksendung & Bestätigung meiner Gelderstattung verlief zügig. Porto für die Rücksendung muss man leider selbst übernehmen und kostet von Deutschland nach England knapp 17 €.
