Very comfortable.

Took these turkey hunting for the first time. They are easy on and off. Very comfortable right out of the box. Time will tell how well they stand up.

Rocky Men's RKS0243 snake boot

ordered a 13W and it was still a little tight at the ankle. But seems like it will relax and stretch out to a perfect fit. Boots seem comfortable right out of the box.

Very comfortable, concerns about durability, waterproofing compromised

These boots are much more comfortable than I expected. I really liked wearing them on my recent hunt. I gave them a beating though, and it shows. I was down in the Gila, and the terrain is varied but can get really rough - lots of areas that are covered with softball to beach ball sized rocks, many of them jagged and rough. The toe rubber is slightly separating on both boots, and I can see where the glue or waterproof seal is coming apart on the sides. Granted, this is after 11 days of heavy use/abuse, but I imagine most people buying these boots will be treating them as roughly as I did. I'm concerned that the waterproofing is now compromised, but I haven't tested it. I have an Ibex hunt coming up in the Florida Mountains, which is as rough as the Gila. I have a pretty good chance of testing these boots against snakes on that trip, too (one guy I heard was struck 5 times by rattlesnakes over the course of his hunt). Assuming the boots get me through alive, I'll post an update on how the boots are holding up. UPDATE Amazingly, never saw a snake in the Floridas (I was the only hunter I know of that didn't see rattlesnakes on that hunt). Lots of cacti though, and razor sharp yuccas. The boots did great protecting from spines/blades. I tested the waterproofing and as expected, it has been compromised by the rough treatment on my elk and ibex hunts. Water is seeping in at the toes on both boots. This is after a few seconds of submersion in a 5 gal bucket. Would probably still be sufficient for mud/snow/rain, but those of you going out in the swaps would have wet feet.

Comfortable to wear right out off the box

The boots fit very good. I ordered a half size larger and I'm pleased with that decision. The zipper is heavy duty but occasionally I have had issues with the liner getting hung up in the zipper making it impossible to move the zipper. I like the boots because they are comfortable to wear. The boots protect my legs from the dead timber, sticks, heavy brush, and Ticks where I live. I'll give the boots 5 stars. I also registered the boots at Rocky.com which has a 1 year warranty on the boots.

Too small, had to wear in.

When I first got these, they were too small and tight despite me roidjigk up my size, and getting the "wide" version. After wearing them in for a week they fit much better, and no longer cause extreme pain to wear. They aren't waterproof, but are water resistant. It would take direct pressurized water to seep through however. They aren't as advertised 100 percent, but so far no other pair of boots has survived my job. I was hasty in my initial review. They are decent and useful, but the sizes may be inaccurate.
