Adorable
Very cute boots, trying them on I knew they would give me blisters, so I put Band-Aids on, I was able to wear them all day with no discomfit. They run big, I ordered a size 8, they were so big I thought they were men's sizes, I exchanged them for a 7.5 and they fit perfect.

Durable (well-built) and stylish
Very comfortable and easy to lace up. I get good ankle support, and took these almost immediately out camping. I was very supported, and the shoe didn't need breaking in, though with time the leather should form more closely to my foot, and be even better the more I use the shoe. The way the laces are done make it very easy to get out of, which takes time with other style eyelets. I like this lacing method too because there's a trick to lacing them up/tightening them fast, which I find much faster and easier than tightening normal laces that go through eyelets instead of hooks. Other than that, it was a good shoe to hike in, cute and can be styled pretty easily with a cute outfit if that's your thing, and they made me feel tall.

Not nearly as good as Double H, but OK
I've been wearing Double H lace up packers with the gel heel for years now. I only bough these because my DHs were full of holes and I could NOT find any in my size. These are fine if you are mostly around the barn or walking around in town. Comfy enough with gel heel inserts I added. They lacks Vibram soles like Double H which are only important if you walk a lot in rough country. Also, they lack a "spur ridge" which would only be important if you ride a lot and ride with spurs, like I do. Fiddling around trying to ge my spurs to lay correctly is difficult and I end up having to practically cut off the circulation in my feet to get the spurs to stay where they should while I ride. I've worn these all summer and they've held up well, been easy care(I did have to oil them as soon as they arrived) and kept the water out the time or two I slipped in the edges of streams without getting in over top of boot level. Half the price of Double Hs, but I will really look for Double H the next time. But they might work perfectly if you don't have the rough country walking and spur issues I have.

Surprisingly sleek and supportive
The value:quality ratio for these is through the roof - I am seriously floored. Supremely supportive, solidly built, and a far more sleek silhouette than photos conveys. In fact, apart from the (regrettably prominent) stamping imprint on the upper, in person they read surprisingly "polished" and less "work boot" than pictures would suggest; if you're after the classic Timberland look, you won't find it here. The hardware and even the laces - so often a weak point in even the best boots - are well-placed, strong, and attractive. And my slender ankles rejoiced at finally finding a boot that accommodates their delicate proportions - a rarity amongst the literal hundreds of boots I've tried on. Plus Goodyear welting construction?!? Sign me up, please.

Beautiful boot, but runs very wide.
Beautiful boot, well made. But they run large and very wide across the foot. They make your feet look huge. I really wanted to like them, but they were just too big. Maybe if you wear a 5 or 6 with a wider foot they will look and feel great. Returned them the next day.

The best pair of boots I've ever bought.
I wear a 9.5 to a 10 whether it's athletic shoes or heels but this particular boot is a snug fit so I went with a size 10 and thankful that I did. Since it is leather I know it will give a little in time. This boot is beautifully made and a high quality compared to what's out there today. I can't say enough about them. I bought them for year round use but mainly for riding a motorcycle with husband to have good protection on my feet. They have a very feminine look whether wearing with skinny jeans or boot cut. In my opinion, the pictures here make the boot look a bit more pointier than they actually are in person. Also, the heel doesn't quite look at high as some of the angles here but again, that's just my opinion. They are simply great and comfortable.

Great boot!
I already bought one pair in a different color. Loved them so much, I bought this Tan color too. The leather is work boot leather versus smooth leather. Bought the Same size: 9M. This Tan leather is a little stiffer, so break-in took a week. The fit felt a bit tighter too. The left boot initially rubbed the top of my foot and the side of my heel when I first wore them. Like they weren't wide enough. However, there's a nice cushion sole pad, and after a couple of days of wearing, the pad flattens out and the Tan leather stretches enough. But I definitely need to wear thin socks. I'm in the SoCal desert using these as barn / riding boots. The boots can take the heat and dust. It's 120 degrees out here. So I need a good boot. Glad I found these!

Boots arrived scuffed and in the wrong color
The boots are darker than the color in the picture, I expected them to be the tan color but they were a dark reddish brown. They also arrived scuffed.

Perfect fit, comfortable, and stylish!!
I bought a pair of these exact boots about13 years ago and was so sad they were looking a bit rough... I was thrilled to find these online!! My favorite boots are back and I wear them all the time... I'm a home ec teacher, not in construction!!, but this work book is just my style!! So comfortable ... right from the first wearing!! I am a size 8.5 and they are absolutely true to size.
