Different from before, needs to be sharpened
Interesting... I ordered one last year (used link from prior order this time). They are quite different from each other. I'm sure it's the same basic blade - right size, shape, etc. But last year's was "normal" - what I would expect to grab off the shelf at a hardware store (light paint, reasonably sharp). This one just came and it's so heavily painted - like it was dipped in plastic. I kept scraping at it to see if it was really a tight smooth shrinkwrap. I guess not, it's just super thick shiny paint. It makes the cutting edge really dull. I'll have to sharpen it for sure. Not really a problem, just not what I expected.

It does what it should
No major issues, the blade arrived fast, and it does what I bought it to do. It doesn't have much of an edge on it when you get it, if you are so inclined, you can sharpen it, just know a sharper edge means that the blade will lose its edge faster. Remember this blade is for mulching, you may hit some sticks and nuts with it occasionally, if you hone it, those things can damage it. Bottom line, for a mulching blade it works as it should.

Perfect fit
Fit perfectly, comes very sharp, nothing needed other than install and go. Some people recommend balancing, I didn't think it was necessary, it runs smoother than with my old bent blade

Price and fit great
I put together lawnmowers and refurbish them. This was a quick purchase and arrived quickly. Has easy install that was correct. Cut the lawn even.

Mulching blade?
Not exactly sharp but it’s good enough. It’s a mower blade, it’s balanced and it cuts.

Disappointed
Unfortunately this blade was a disappointment. When it arrived, I thought the black plastic covering it was just packaging, but I started peeling it off and saw a rusty blade underneath it so I left it alone. The first two cuts I made left a bit to be desired. The lawns looked ragged. I since found a new-old-stock blade for my "vintage" Craftsman mower and fitted that instead. Big difference! The lawn looks like it has been cut now instead of chewed. The Stens blade might be okay in an emergency but there are better blades out there.
