Nice fashion boot - Careful with size selection
I've had these for about four months, and for a fashion boot (NOT work or hiking), I'm impressed. They seem to be water resistant or, at least, good enough for waiting at bus stops during a rainy Seattle winter. Although I walk up/down steep hills on concrete, I have not seen any cracks or even wear. The leather has darkened from the rain, but I like that look. I wear them 3-4 days/week, 4-8 hrs/day. The insole didn't offer enough support for me, so I ended up buying a $15 insole. So, if you have a pronounced arch, just know that you might need to augment the support. With the insole, they're fairly comfortable. Size: I wear a 12.5 which they don't offer. I surmised from many other reviews, however, that they run large. I ordered a 12 w which fits well while wearing a thicker sock. (If I was trying these on in a store, I would have even tried on an 11.5). I would estimate that these run half-size to full-size large. The laces are somewhat thin and cheap. I'll upgrade at some point. Amazon had these on sale in December so I got a good deal on them. Even at full price, I think they compare favorably to most fashion boots in this price range and offer better materials and workmanship then many I looked at.

Good Day to Day Boot
I like the look of these types of boots for just day to day walking around in. I don't use them for the yard or construction. I have steel-toed boots for that. I don't use them for when I go on a long walk. I have hiking shoes for that. But they are comfortable enough for just slugging around in. I ordered a size 10, where I normally (>90%) need a 10.5. So I'd say order half a size down. The shoe laces aren't very strong (snapped within three months of non-intensive use) and too long anyway.

Nice..trouble with money back exchange
My husband loved them but they ran large (maybe because we chose Wide fit) so we had to return a few times..it's ridiculous for 7 day trial Amazon doesn't let you use the return money..so basically we exchanged but had to use debit card again! They are much more expensive on here than the brand website but we chose to buy on here due to the size options. They are comfortable nice shoes..casual with a construction worker look to them.

Coming From a Lifelong Clarks Guy -- The Perfect Boot
I've worn Clarks exclusively for years. Around cities, countries, hiked around Scotland for a month (for some reason) with those slick-bottomed City Boots. I wanted something more traditional with a little grip, and these are perfect. Truly everytime I put them on (which is everyday now) I'm reminded how much I like them. The look, the color, the material. It's a great look. The waterproofing is good but I honestly haven't tested it much because I'm trying to keep these a little nicer. If you're looking for a solid leather boot for around $100, these are it. The interior cushioning leaves a little to be desired, but nothing you can't fix with a $10 pair of insert cushions if you're into that. Super comfortable, look great, good grip. Like I said, I wear these almost every single day and I think that speaks to their quality. Great purchase.

I love these boots
Exactly what I was looking for. Just a nice engineer boot to wear with jeans or khakis. They don’t have a ridiculous 2” sole, while most work boots seem to have these days. Just a really good fit and super comfortable. I would say the leather is kind of a mix of suede and regular, so it marks up easy. But it also wiped up easy. I use leather conditioner/mink oil regularly. And a regular boot brush takes away minor scuffs.

Super comfy and nicely made!
I’ve had about a dozen pairs of Rockports over the last 30 years, but had never bought boots from them. I should have gotten a pair sooner. Sizing is large so a pair of thick and warm socks can fill them out.

Great fit , Broken laces though
Have had these for close to 2 years, maybe a year and a half? But they are definitely very comfortable and I love the style. Have surprisingly gotten a lot of compliments on them as well. Gets 4 stars from me though because the laces snapped in multiple places after a year or so. Not a huge deal because laces are like 5 bucks to order.. but still kind of annoying. Other than that though would highly recommend these boots.

Great looking sturdy walking shoe
This is a great Travelling shoe. Looks good when wearing a jacket for dinner, but hefty enough for moderate hiking on gravel and loose rock. A bit tight in the toe but fixed with beeswax and shoe tree stretch for a few days. Now one of my favorite all around shoes for travelling

Lots of room
First thing I did was swap the laces for round, proper, boot laces (purchased on Amazon). They slide better and allow for finer tuning of the fit. Also they look much, much better to my eye. ( and to my teenage son's eye, who, like all teens, knows everything). Because of the return policy I was comfortable buying on-line. I have basically replaced my entire shoe collection, in the last year, upgrading from size 13 to 14 or 15, as I developed a bunion. On first try on, I thought perhaps a 14 wide would have been better. But the next day i tried thinner socks, better lacing method, and am pleased with the fit. Lots of room in the toe, while the upper lacing provides a stable fit. In terms of durability, my careful inspection of the sole, leads me to belief it will be quite good. I think you may have trouble if you wear these 5 days a week at a labour-type job, or walk a lot on oil, or gasoline. I think you could damage them if you do a lot of rock scrambling. Also the leather is high quality and should be treated and maintained a bit. Otherwise, I am wearing them tonight to a higher end restaurant and, walking my dog through he woods this morning. So the look and feel is very versatile. These are real Rockports and arrived packaged in an OEM box, with UPC, and stuffed with tissue paper. 2 thumbs up from me. Edit 3/22/2022.Photo number 3. I just completed hiking the Big 5 National Parks in Utah over the last 8 days. Plus 2 state parks. I wore these boots on all the hikes, 3 hours per day. They got covered and caked in red dust, but rinsed off nicely in the hotel sinks. I also wore them on the airplane, driving 1000 miles, and out to casual dinner joints. They look great, and nicely broken in. I forgot to pack mink ( boot) oil, so I lightly applied the body lotion provided by the hotels. Today I am ordering a second pair, in a slightly lighter shade, as I fully expect to wear these exclusively in the cooler times of year and for hiking anytime of year.

I like these…
Comfortable and waterproof, these replaced some old XCS Umbwe that were trusted friends - not disappointed. Although the ankle collar and tongue are synthetic and did squeak (bit of wax shut them up) so far I can’t fault them, grippy and supportive!
