We Wanted to Love This Fire Pit, But...
We bought this product due to wood burning restrictions at the campsite we usually go to. We tested this product at home and upon opening the box, it already looked like it was slightly used, or they did not do a good job of cleaning up the product prior to going out. Once everything was connected properly we noticed that once turned on, the regulator seems to have a mind of its own going from high to low to medium and low and then staying on low for long amounts of time in which it’s difficult to get any heat or good burn for simple tasks like s’mores roasting. We thought we’d give it a try at the campsite. Once at the campsite, things got worse. We believe the regulator is either faulty or is so advanced that it’s trying to simulate the reality of wood fire burning in which sometimes the fire goes out and then we have to “get it going” again... however we don’t believe for it to be that sophisticated. It finally came to a “ok i’m done with this product” when out of nowhere the regulator went on full on blast in which it seemed completely out of control even when we turned the regulator to be completely OFF. It would not stop releasing the gas until we disconnected the propane all together, it was quite a scary ordeal. This happened on our first and second nights of camping, so for the rest of the trip, we roasted marshmallows over our tabletop burners, the kids were good sports. We wanted to love this product but it was just too inconsistent and almost dangerous during those times, it had to go back. Buy at your own risk and make sure it doesn’t look used once you open the box, that could be a red flag.

Good product
It was easy to assemble and convent to load and unload. Worked great for being a small fire pit. Had a larger group of kids during this fire ban so heat was not great but expected due to being small. Rocks were all over fire pit so I would recommend they package them better. Other than that great product.

Love having INSTA-FIRE
This was great right out of the box. I hooked it to the 1lb tank with the adapter and it lit wonderfully. Very easy to install. A small of a tank doesn't last very long when its near freezing (I think it was 2-3 hours), so I have ordered an 11lb tank. But I do love this and plan to keep it in my truck for whenever I'm out and about and want a little intsa-FIre to sit around. I love the fact that I can turn it off if I have to run (I work in EMS and have to go at a moments notice). Now, I don't have to give up my evening fires.

Looks promising however received a used one.
Haven’t tested it yet, however after opening the package I received a used one, all of the plastic bags were already ripped open, the lava rocks were crumbling all over the package. I plan on using this shortly to see if it at least works. Edit: 6/7/2020 I used this fire pit on a windy 23mph windy weekend at 7k feet of elevation. It held up nicely, kept us really warm and once the lava rocks got hot they stayed hot! Overall really happy with the purchase and would recommend, only wish that I did not receive a used one and that the fire pit bag had a spot for the connecting fuel hose pipe.

Great propane fire ring!
We finally got to try this out. It was super easy to set up. I wish the hose was longer but it worked for our little family of three. The control is on the hose end attached to the propane tank. We ran it for about two hours three nights in a row and the tank didn’t really feel any lighter when we packed up. This is a great addition to our camping gear. The lava rocks closest to the circular pipe inside the ring heat up and glow like wood embers. Many were charred black after our three uses. I’m not sure what this means with longevity of those rocks or how soon I will have to replace them. So far I’m impressed!

Great fire pit!
Bought for 4th of July s’mores and to have in case our campground has a fire ban. We’ve used it several times just in the backyard. Works great, love having a quick fire whenever we want but not smelling like wood smoke! Very easy to put together and nice adjustable heat output on a cool night. Get one!
