Perfect for dark hallway
I needed a nightlight with an on/off switch for a hallway and this is perfect. It looks nice, brightens the space and can be controlled with a toggle switch. This particular hallway gets no natural light so the lights that light up automatically when it’s dark did not work for me in this space.

Bright Night Light Ideal for Kitchen or Hallway
I was looking for a night light with a manual on/off switch. Some parts of my house are always a little too dark for automatic lights (they end up staying on all the time). This is a simple clean design that has ample brightness for bigger rooms and for hallways. However, that's also what makes this not suitable for bedrooms because it's too bright. The color temperature is a cool white and not a warm white, so that could also affect sleep patterns. Stanley should make a slightly less bright and warmer color one for the bedroom. However, I'm satisfied with this considering its price and where it's being used.

This ISNT good for a night light in a room. But GREAT as a hallway light or outdoor light.
This night light is extremely bright. Put into a room it would seem like a lamp was on. But for a hallway light it is fantastic. Also the switch is a big plus for me since I like having it on all the time in the hallway at night. NO MOTION DECTION. SWITCH ONLY.

Ok.. as others have reported - it's WAY too bright for a night light. The good is that it is a manual switch. So you can turn it off. I'm trying to figure out a place to put it that it will work for us. So far, it's in a drawer. Waiting to be VERY bright somewhere. I purchased it for my 6 year old grandson who needs a comfy night light. I wish I would have heeded other reviewers who said it was bright... I just kept thinking - well - how bright is too bright?? Trust me, it's WAY too bright for a night light. It almost lights the whole room. If you have a dark room that needs a light, this could work. If you're looking for a soft, cozy night light - this is NOT the one.

BRIGHT DAYLIGHT
Ok, so this is a BRIGHT DAYLIGHT level nightlight. If you're into that, cool. Perfect for you. If you're not into that, no biggie. Just pop off the cover and line the bulb with some yellow paper, tape, etc. Turns it to more of a yellow glow but is still very bright. Thats what I did with green cellophane and I love it.

Very Bright Little light
This little light is very bright. Like others have said, even a bit harsh. The description says "warm, soft glow & easy on eyes" but I personally wouldn't agree with that. We actually kind of squint if we walk by it in the middle of the night. But, for the small light that it is, it's a nice, energy saving LED light. Its a nice, clean design that would fit into any contemporary style décor. We find it much too bright for our quite large master bedroom so we plug it in at an area down the hall and it still lights the entire master area just enough to safely walk around when the lights are off. It would be perfect for a child's room as they would still be able to see all around the room OR for a senior who needs to safely navigate a hallway.

Great for the bathroom
I bought this to use in my small-ish bathroom at night when I don't want to turn on the bright overhead lights. Based on some of the reviews I thought it might be too bright but it isn't. It's pretty much exactly what I needed and it provides enough light by the sink. I do wish it was a warm light instead of cold, though.

Perfect for bathroom
Great night light for bathroom or hallway, bright enough that no other light is required. I like the switch as nightlights with a light sensor tend to stay on during the day in the area in which I use it, this way I can turn it on just as I'm going to bed. Would not recommend this for bedrooms, it would be too bright, and it is a very cold blue light. That's why I didn't give it a 5 star, even though this is an excellent product in all other aspects, it is a cold light and would be much better with a warmer colour.

Glad I read the reviews first !
I was looking for a light for my basement for my cats litter box area. This light works perfect as it is pretty bright and has the switch I can leave it on. This would not be a light I would want in my bedroom but in a dark place you need to light up it’s perfect !
