Fixed wheel stud on 08 Honda Civic
I had never used a die before, so I was a little apprehensive. My brother had damaged one of the wheel studs on my Civic, and we couldn't get the lug nut back on. I figured out the thread size and this matched, so I got it, put the flared open side onto the stud, put a wrench on it, and started turning. Worked great. Turned it to the bottom of the stud and took it off again. Lug nut goes right on now.

If you want to rehab your wheel studs, this is the tool
I recently sheared off a wheel stud. So far it has cost me $75 for a mobile mechanic to get the axle nut and steering knuckle off, and $25 for a junkyard replacement that had good bearings and a decent lower ball joint. Forget putting a new stud on the hub. That would be $150 to press out the bearing, hammer in a stud and press the hub back in. Instead of all that I’d like to get in my time machine, buy this little tool, and dress the threads on all 20 wheel studs on the car. I did it after the fact and it took an hour. I bought the corresponding tap and did all the lug nuts at the same time. Now they all spin on like they were new.

It works
My wife’s wheel stud was stripped at the tip a few treads, it took 3 turns and it was fixed.
