Perfect for plaster walls
I have plaster walls and screwing anything into them is a disaster. For the past 8 years, I've had command hooks holding up my curtain rods which was working great until one of them fell and I decided to upgrade. These brackets were extremely easy to install. The tack that goes into trim can practically be pushed in with your finger. Using a hammer to hammer in the other tack can be a little tricky since it sits only centimeters from the wall, but it's definitely doable. I hung very heavy blackout curtains on them and I've had no issues with sturdiness so far, and it's been a few months.

Not for thick wood
They are nice, but assembling didn’t work so well. The wood may have been too hard to push through. But I will save for future projects.

Great for windows with crowns
I needed curtain hooks for my apartment windows with crown moldings on it. This was great because I can install it without any holes showing. Only negative is that you have to put in extra force to make the nails go through the wood. I used the handle of a screw driver to tap it in. So far my curtains are still up and the hooks seem sturdy

UMmmm………..
Sorry for the crazy Title but it describes these in the nutshell. I needed these because I live in a rental that prefers no holes in walls etc. I had been using command strip holders to hold up curtains at my patio single door but with weather changes etc the glue dries out and the curtains end up on the floor! I tried gorilla double sided tape ect. Still fell down- so I decided to get these as they “ tack into “ rather than drill holes etc. and they are made so you can place on the upper window frame that unless you are on a ladder and above the window you would never see a hole - perfect ! But not. The actual hardware the plate and rod holder are fine. I would say Medium duty not heavy duty which is fine for my needs of hanging light weight curtains on a single door. Sadly they do provide 1 extra Tack but the tacks are so soft they can bend in your hand so if you don’t get them in with one pound of the hammer - they break and you are done!! Luckily since they are being installed in a place you will never see I used very tiny headed nails to attach to the frame. Also be careful as in the frame that you attach has a built in teeny tiny little nail which the instructions say to place down into the wood however the wood is to hard and even with a hammer it would not catch so I reversed it. Kept the little head facing up and just used my little nails !! Working perfectly! Just don’t rely on the tacks …. Have tiny headed nails on standby! Hope this helps !!

It did the job for a light curtain rod
I tried the As seen on TV version this is 100% better. I would not recommend and rod that is heavy or large

Good, but…
As someone else in the reviews mentioned, the tacs are too small. I initially used the tacs that came in the kit. Failed. Immediately fell out. Changed to long skinny nails, like the kind you use to hang a picture, and it’s fantastic! Love it! I also followed another’s suggestion of putting paper against the wall while using the hammer. Saved me scuff marks on the wall. If they included long nails instead of small tacs, they’d get a great review from me.

These are sturdy and so easy to use!! So much better then screwing them into the wall!
We just bought professionally made curtains and needed something to put in that wouldn't make the wall look trashy. I've used this before and I am always impressed by how well they work. Will buy again!!

Great idea
They were a little small but that's my fault for not measuring. Great idea for hanging curtains

Must use nails for a secure hold
This was a great idea, unfortunately, the tacks supplied do not have a strong Enough hold for a curtain Rod.
