Works well
I'd give this five stars if the holes in the jamb plate were standard for storm door brackets. Although this came with the jamb plate and the jamb bracket, which aligned exactly with four holes, I wanted to use the jamb bracket that came with my pneumatic door closer. The jamb bracket that came with the pneumatic door closer is shorter by 1/4 inch and where it attaches to the door jamb (or plate) is wider by 1/8", so it won't screw into the jamb plate (which I have to use because the wood on the door frame got messed up from the screw ripping out of it. The bottom line is that I was able to use the old pneumatic door closer with the new jamb bracket and plate. I really wanted to replace the old pneumatic door closer with a new one, but that 1/4" makes enough of a difference that I'd have to drill new holes into the metal security and I do not really want to do that. I don't know why either Prime-Line can't make the holes on the jamb plate line up with the standard bracket that comes with these pneumatic door closers, or make their jamb bracket the same size as the standard one. OR why Ideal Security (the seller of the pneumatic door closer) does not also sell jamb plates that line up with their jamb brackets. By the way, I also received a package that was open so when I opened the box, the screws and everything were all loose, and only one nut made the trip. It was good customer service, though, because when I selected to return the package, they sent me another package, and that one had all four nuts in it.

Best way to fix a messed up door jamb for attaching a door closer to
The wood where our screen door closer was attached to was cracked and missing some chunks. It was bad. I had previously tried filling the wood in, with a plug and lots of carpenter glue and toothpicks wedged int to create a seamless, strong piece of wood for the door closer to screw into. That worked for a year or so, until my kid somehow bent the metal base of the door closer and destroyed my masterpiece of carpentry... I was not looking forward to trying to repair the door jamb again, and then I found this. First a word of warning. Make sure you attach the base of the closer to the metal plate before screwing in as once you screw the plate in you can't attach the closer base. This pate is very sturdy and it worked very well, so far, to allow the screen door closer base to attach to the jamb. In the half a year we have this, I have not had any need for concern that this would not hold for years or decades. It is in that strong. Highly recommend.

Thiccc
That's right this bracket is thiccc with three C's! The screen door got pushed while the stop was in place and wrecked the old one so I picked this up the plate and the arm holder but are much thicker than what I took off so I'm much more confident this will be a lot harder to break by accident!

The mounting area on one of my rentals was pretty chewed up
The mounting area on one of my rentals was pretty chewed up. I used this to reinforce and it worked well. The only drawback is that you need to use small bolts to attach the bracket to the plate, and then screws to attach the plate to the wood based jamb. If you run a screw through the bracket, and it does not engage (directly thread) the steel plate - it does nothing to improve the connection.

Solid plate
My family has an issue with making sure the screen door is latched when they come through. When the seasons change, sometimes the door won't close properly or without some convincing. The previous bracket tore away from the door jam and split it up the middle. This large place was able to hold the new one closer in place w/o any issue. I used extra long screws to ensure that the screw went through the door jam and into the framing. This also helped pull the wood back together. I will touch it up with a bit of paint and hope for the best. I thought it was a bit pricey for a piece of metal with holes in it, but I couldn't find it anywhere else. I would buy it again.

Worked perfect on my damaged door jam
Worked perfect on my damaged door jam. Not enough screws for all of the holes if you were counting on a very strong hold. I had some extra screws and it holds up against anything. The holes on the two brackets do not line up perfectly. Took some bending to get it to work. One of the screw holes on the flat bracket is partial covered by the other bracket. Again took some bending.

Heavy Duty but needs some chamfered screws.
This will be perfect for our heavy screen door with the full glass. All the parts are heavy gauge steel. I was disappointed that it did not come with screws and nuts that fit flush with the back of the plate. I will need to buy some flat head screws and chamfer the holes in the plate. Other than that it will work out fine.

Did not come with described parts
Says it comes with bolts to hold down the bracket. Comes only with screws.

Makes life easier!
This just solved my problem so easily without having to buy hardwares one by one. It contains a bigger plate with 10 holes (if I remember well...), all required screws, a replacement for the closer bracket (I don't even know if they sell this as a replacement piece in hardware stores). Just had to drill new holes and about 20 minutes later, the door is working like knew.
