Great Dish Sponges

I really like how durable these sponges are. I have been using Scotch Brite ever since I can remember and I am 65 so it’s been a long time. They don’t get little pieces of the sponge all over the sink that seem to happen with other brands. I use each sponge for a month and I like to keep them clean so I sometimes put them in to get cleaned. For some reason I never thought it was a problem with putting them in the microwave and I did so without any problems for 10 years. After finding out it’s not the best idea I sanitize them by putting them in a pot of boiling water with a tiny bit of bleach. They can also be put into the dishwasher to get cleaned. If you haven’t tried this brand you should.

An absolute necessity in my house!

I was raised using "dish rags" (yeah, I'm old!), like wash cloths, but only for washing dishes, not bodies. While I was visiting some friends a few years ago I wanted to help out & volunteered to wash dishes. They used this kind of sponge, Scotch Brite non-scratch scrub sponges. I was hesitant at first thinking it was going stink or get moldy in no time. But to my surprise there was no smell at all when taking it out of the package. I got it wet & put one pump of dish soap in the center of the sponge side & squished it a bit to get the whole sponge soapy. The slight S shape of the sponge is key; making it very comfortable to hold no matter what you're cleaning. The reverse side has a gentle scrubber which can be used on non-stick cookware without scratching it at all. Washing dishes this way, without a sink full of soapy water, saves gallons of water & lots of time. Since then I've exclusively been using this particular brand & shape of sponge. The BLUE ones! I keep one in the kitchen for dishes, countertops & the inside & outside of the refrigerator, & one in the bathroom for the sink & tub. As long as I rinse them out well & set them to dry in a shallow soap dish on the kitchen & bathroom counters, they dry quickly & don't have any smell. I buy the big package of 9 sponges for $6.74 which comes out to only 75 cents each. I'd say each kitchen sponge lasts a good 2 to 3 weeks. When I have enough dishes to use the dishwasher, the sponge goes on the top rack for thorough cleaning & disinfecting with the extremely hot water & its good as new. Don't put it in the microwave to clean; you'll ruin it. I have to say I'm utterly shocked as the photos sent with some other (bad) reviews. I've never had a sponge break off from the scrubbing side, never had them so filthy as in the pictures, never had them crumble apart, or any of the other nasty stuff shown in those photos. My guess is that they were used improperly (for heavy duty work like floor scrubbing or cleaning ovens...these are not designed for that type of use), for too long & never cleaned. I also saw complaints that the new sponges were "wet" when the package was opened. All good quality sponges are supposed to be just the slightest bit damp when new, or else by the time you get them they'd be dry & brittle, misshapen & cracked...the dampness is not a fault or anything to complain about. I HIGHLY & sincerely recommend these wonderful, very affordable sponges! My guests are so impressed with them I'm always giving out one for them to take home to try! I'll never go back to old dish rags.

Received only 1 pack

The listing says pack of 2 but received only 1 pack (9 songes). When I opened the pack, all sponges were moisture.

Sólo te envian 1 paquete

En el título dice Pack of 2, sólo te mandan 1, quitaron la publicación por que me dijeron que era un error, ya la volvieron a publicar y sigue diciendo pack of 2, supongo que ahora si te mandarían el pedido completo. 11-Sept-18: Compré nuevamente las esponjas y sólo envian 1 Paquete en vez de 2, me comuniqué con Atención a Clientes de Amazon y me reembolsaron lo correspondiente al faltante, además, me comentaron que pausarían nuevamente la publicación para arreglar el problema de la descripción de "2 Paquetes". Subí la puntuación a 4 estrellas por el gran servicio de Atención a Clientes.

No valen la pena.

Cero durables. Literal quedaron así después de 4 días de uso doméstico, nada de exceso de platos sucios, fue actividad normal de una familia de 5 personas. Por la marca y la estética acepté pagar su precio alto, gran decepción. No las devolví por la flojera de envolver y llevar a la mensajería.

Estas esponjas son un poco diferente a las que venden en el super, para empezar son más baratas y duran un poco más porque la parte de la esponja es menos porosa, no se cómo decirlo, pero es de un material más resistente. En el supermercado cuestan $27 - $30 c/u aproximadamente y aquí 18 esponjas por $210 aprox. así que creo que por el precio vale la pena probarlas. No rayan y hacen bien su trabajo. Totalmente recomendables.

Solo enviaron un paquete. No cumplen lo anunciado.

Ya lo había comprado en enero, y recibí tal cual anuncian, dos paquetes cada uno con 9 esponjas. Excelente calidad del producto. Y por eso lo volví a pedir. Pero oh sorpresa que ahora solo recibí un paquete. Vi comentarios de otras personas que les enviaron solo uno. No engañen. Espero me envíen el segundo paquete, pues así viene en el anuncio.
