Well-stitched, great squeaky toy, but not for aggressive chewers

This is one of my 6-month-old lab/pittie mix's favorite toys. I personally like it because it's stuffingless, so my dog is less inclined to tear it to shreds. I got one about a month ago, and he just tore a hole in one of the legs and punctured the squeaker. I decided to order another one though because he liked this one so well. I can see where a problem might arise for dogs that are avid chewers because the legs are easily accessible and easy to chew through. They seem to be stitched well, and my dog (who tears the stitching apart from every plush toy he has) wasn't able to tear it up like he did the plush Kong toy I had gotten him. Up until it was punctured, the squeaker worked quite well. I just wish it had crinkle paper in it. The hole it finally got in it was on the underside of one of the legs, so I suspect it got caught on something while my dog was running rampant in and out the dog door.

Cute, But Easily Destroyed

I loved the idea of this toy for playing tug and it’s super cute, but my ten pound pup had already started destroying it within 24 hours. I think he’d give it five stars, me, not so much.

Cute, best for non shredder types

These are really cute. My small poodle (17lbs, should be like 14lbs, she likes to eat) does well with them. She has small teeth and she's not too rough on her toys. My medium doodle (28lbs, wishes he was 48, also likes to eat) has an appetite for destruction. He goes right for the throat (ie, squeaker) and he got there in about 3 minutes with one of these. So the term "extreme" is pretty relative when used to describe these. If you have a shredder their time with these octopi will be extremely short.

Gus approved! *UPDATE*

Giving a toy to an English Mastiff is like giving a toy to a lazy alligator. So, needless to say, even the “tough” stuffed toys don’t last more than a day around here. So I am AMAZED to say that we have had this octopus for a MONTH so far with minimal damage!!! That is HUGE!! Of course he bit the “squeak” out of the squeaker in a day and he had the squeaker out in under a week. But, considering his GOAL is to get the squeaker out of every toy as soon as he gets it- and always does within minutes to hours, it’s MAJOR that it took him a week to get this one out!! And the awesome thing is, it’s still intact, playable, and holds his attention! And from such a cheap, simple toy! Where has this been all my life?! It gets an A+ from Gus! UPDATE (4/27/21): We’ve had this a while now- plus some other brands that r basically the same toy- and they’re beat up, but still his favorites! What sets this apart from other toys is that he can eat the squeaker or bite off a leg and it’s still fully functional. Still Mastiff approved.

Misleading Product Photos

Every single photo shows 3. I don't have time to read halfway down the lengthy product description to see the one like about only receiving ONE of a random color. my dog loves these things. They don't hold up well at all so I am constantly rotating them out. $10 for one is definitely not worth it, and this seller is shady for not making it clearer.

Okay

This is an okay toy. My dog usually is crazy over be toys but he just didn't really like this. It's standing up well to his power play only because he doesn't play with it.

I liked it more than the dog

Well neither of the dogs really go for it. One of them is an older dog and when he was younger he would’ve loved this and had it torn up as quickly as he possibly could. But it is well made and I liked the quality and the size of the toy. I just need to get one of these dogs to at least give it a chance.

It’s not THREE... only ONE item!!!! Not impressed

Why isn’t there three items?! And it’s so tiny...I ordered the biggest one that you offer. Not even close to the size on the dogs head in the photo. Its NOT worth the money for one...this looks like a cheap carnival prize. One would assume that when you are ordering items with “assorted colours” And if it only came as one... that you would be able to choose which colour....false advertising!! I’ll be contacting you for a refund....thank you in advance

You really have to see it to believe it!

Honestly, feeling this toy I would not describe it as durable and would really laugh if someone tried to convince me that THIS was the toy my dog wouldn’t destroy. BUT... it is?! I bought this toy with the understanding my dog will destroy it, and love doing so. He loves long dangly pieces so I bought the octopus for the legs. They feel incredibly flimsy (they don’t even have stuffing) and yet we’ve had several tug of wars and not even a seam has come undone. My dog is a cavalier spaniel so he’s small, but an extreme chewer. So, consider me impressed! My other dog is a border collie who doesn’t really seem interested in this toy at all. He won’t play tug of war with it, he won’t even put it in his mouth actually. He’s really strong but I can’t test the theory that he would rip the legs off.

Just what we wanted!

My dog already had one of these that was bought at a store. It was her favourite toy and she managed to put a hole in it. The store no longer had these toys so I was unable to replace it for our pup. I decided to check Amazon and was shocked to see the exact toy available- so I ordered one right away. It came quickly and was exactly the same as her other one- the transition was seamless! Now she has her favourite toy and I have a place to get replacements when I need them.

Not bad!

This octopus has become my dog's best friend, she loves it! I love that it has absolutely no stuffing inside, I think that's what has helped my dog not rip it apart. That being said, this is definitely not as durable as advertised. She easily ripped holes in the fabric. Overall, this is a great toy for a medium sized dog that is a low-moderate chewer.

NOT a pack of 3..

Advertised as “pack of 3”. I only receieved ONE! As a pack of 3 the price was awesome, but the price for 1 is outrageous !!
