Dog loves it
I bought this because a friend was in the habit of leaving her mix-breed puppy in our yard during the day and it had already destroyed every toy or ball left outside. Our dog, a standard poodle, rarely dissects or destroys any of her toys. She's a fetch-loving dog, not so much into chewing or ripping things apart (thankfully). She does, however, readily engage in fierce and destructive play with this friend's dog whenever it's around. We needed something for the 2 dogs to play with that would last a bit longer, and I figured the rope part of this one might do the trick (I was totally expecting monkey to be demolished in under an hour). As it turns out, our poodle was so addicted to this toy that we never did toss it outside for the both of them. We figured once our dog got tired of it we'd offer it up and let it get demolished. She never got tired of it. She digs it out from under other toys in her basket to play with. In the meantime, the friend gave her dog away so we don't have that problem anymore, and this toy remains inside and one of our dog's favorites. We play fetch and tug-of-war with it, and it will probably last forever in our household.

Dog loves but doesn't hold up to playing
Ropes are durable but the stuffed animal part is easily ripped by dog so stuffing comes out everywhere and unsafe to play with.

Monkey to mop in a few weeks
As ar as toys for my dog go, this one put up a good fight and lasted a decent amount of time, but not long by any means. He managed to undo the knots in the ropes and untwist them quickly - so that it started to resemble a mop more than it did a monkey toy. He also was eventually able to decapitate it and pull out the stuffing and squeaker. However, by know I know that my dog can destroy most toys. So considering that, this toy lasted much longer than some of the other stuffed toys I've ordered on Amazon, and I do think it's better made than most. It's also pretty cute and comparatively, in my opinion, well priced.

So cute, doesn't last
My 1-year old Shorkie (Shih Tzu and Yorkie mix, under 10 lbs.) tore the seam around the monkey's neck while playing with this toy for about 5 minutes. I continuously encouraged her to chew and tug on the rope arms rather than the monkey's body, but no luck. I still liked the look of the toy & thought it had good play value, so I decided to re-stitch the torn seam by hand and try it again. When I returned the toy to her, she was able to untie the knots at the ends of the rope arms, legs and tail in less than 10 minutes. Once the knots were gone, she totally lost interest in the monkey and found a ball to play with instead. A note on the rope: when the monkey arrives, the rope is quite stiff—almost too stiff. Once my dog untied the knots, the rope unraveled and became very soft. I tried to braid the rope and re-tie the ends once the rope became soft to try to get some use out of the toy. So far, so good...

It is good that I purchased 6 of these
We purchased one at Walmart that we were trying to replace. While this is close to the same thing, it is not as large and the other one we had the rope arms and legs pulled thru from one side to the other and lasted for a long time. It is good that I purchased 6 of these, as puppy has already almost destroyed 2 of these. He is a puggle and not that large a dog but, he loves to play with his toys.

My Dogs Love It!
My dogs are obcessed with this monkey. If I squeak it while in a different room they apear faster than you can blink. That's fairly amazing considering one is 11 years old and the other is a lazy basset hound. The ropes are nice and study and can take a lot of abuse. However, the monkey itself lasted a whole ten minutes. My Basset Hound nearly ripped his head clean off. I now have to sew it back on. If the monkey was a nice rip resistant material this would be a five star product. Maybe if you had a small dog it would be ok but a M/L dog will blow through this in a few minutes.

Waste of Money! Held Up for Maybe 5 Minutes
Total waste of money! Was simply a cheap stuffed animal NOT a dog toy. My dogs have played with their other toys pictured for many months if not years!!!!

SUPERB
This is an excellent dog toy, one of the best that I have ever bought. My Labrador just loves it. Very well made, and copes with constant use. Would buy again. The squeaker is still squeaking after 2 weeks constant use !!! Which is quite something given my Labrador is ruthless on these sort of dog toys. Ideal size too.

waste of money
it lasted exactly three seconds with my Labrador as it came apart so quick and the small air bottle inside come out almost straight away and nearly choked him. do not waste your money go to a pet store.

dog loved it
our dog is an avid chewer and loves tug of war games. this toy lasted 2 days and by our standard this is great. Most toys the dog chews last 20 minutes or less. the firehose toy lasted 90 seconds of play time.
