This is my third set of SPENCO flip flops. I was introduced to the product by a podiatrist friend a number of years ago. The design, including the curved heel platform and the arch support, make the work of walking in flip flops so much easier for a guy with severely flat feet.

Supportive - but very soft

My go to was always super feet but they stopped making sandals. Tried Vionic but the arch was insanely high. These I have mixed feelings on - might work as a house slipper, but not for outside. Pros: - nice medium level of support. Less intense than Vionic. Still good for plantar fasciitis suffers like me. Cons: - the color I chose (men’s) was a bit feminine. I get they were going for the cork look but way too light for top and bottom - VERY soft. Not quite Crocs soft but close. I felt like I was squishing around in them. ( If you are heavy or like cushion insoles then this is a pro) - it’s true - they fixed the sole delaminating issues by just not laminating a rubber sole. The midsole foam is the bottom, and you can feel it isn’t gonna hold up to concrete long.

Comfortable thong sandals with a reasonable degree of arch support

I'm on my fifth or sixth pair of these Spenco sandals. They advertise that they provide better arch support than many others, and I have to agree. I've tried another name brand that wasn't as satisfactory, and I've tried a no-name sandal that was fair but not as satisfactory. I have very flat arches; so arch supporting sandals make sandals a practical footwear alternative for me. Worn shoes or non-arch-supporting sandals give me leg and back problems in fairly short order. The Spencos seem to last for quite a while before the wear starts to make them uncomfortable. Then, it's time for a new pair.

I love these sandals, the new ones may be sized a bit large (buy 1/2 size down, not a 1/2 size up)

I started off with a size 11 of the old version of the sandals when my podiatrist recommended them to me in 2018. And I couldn't be found not wearing them indoors for five years... Until an unfortunate accident with a heated floor mat... I bought a size 11 of the new version in 2022, but those just didn't fit right, I've replaced them with the size 10, and yeah, these are the ones. My foot is probably a 10 1/2...

Comfort

These were given to me as gift 3 years ago. I now buy them for family and friends complaining of foot issues. Everyone loves them and is totally satisfied with the results.

Seemed fake

I have another pair of spencos and these did not seem to the same quality at all. The soles did not have the different color patches, they were all gray.

Most comfortable flip flops I have ever owned any top quality materials. Trendy looking. This is my second pair, first pair lasted 5 years wearing everyday, (living in Middle East). Highly recommend for anyone but especially previous or current plantar fasciitis sufferers
