not the perfect for us

we had been using plastic daisies (with suction cups on the bottom) in our tub, but the husband said :too hard on his feet. I researched bath mats & decided this was the best one to take a chance on, taking in to account cleaning & safety. The mat only covers half the bottom of our full size older version metal tub, which is not a big deal since we only use the tub for showering , so we put it near the shower part. It did stay put & it did seem to drain well. here's the issues we had with it: The husband has sensitive feet & said that the suction cups made it still too hard on his feet. AS with anything plastic in your tub if you want to do a whole lot less cleaning of it, you should pull it up every day & hang it somehow to let it air. If not then once a week you should spray both sides with some sort of foaming stuff that removes soap residue, let it sit awhile & then rinse, because that's the only way you're going to keep the mold from growing in those suction cups.

Does the job

This bath mat weighs quite a bit less than my old (mildewed) one, so its suction cups are more important. Users are directed to wet the tub a bit before putting the mat down and to press on it a little. Good advice. When I ignored it, the mat slipped as I was exiting the tub. Not good. But used as it should be, it works well and looks fine.

Tends to "creep"

It takes a long time for the mat to lay flat after unrolling it and applying it to the shower floor. It tends to "creep" over time and requires one to peel it off the floor and position it back in the original position. It's a slow process and not a high risk to the user.

Carex Bathtub Mat

Mat is OK. Adhesive leaves a lot to be desired. Plan on having to help out the adhesion properties for this product.

Solid purchase

The mat is made with durable material. Came smelling like plastic but I just hung it out for a night and the smell disappeared. Very good mat, washes well in a washing machine with bleach if necessary.

Wrapped too tightly

This mat arrive rolled up too tightly. Took forever to straighten out. Even with all the effort of putting weight on it, it still has one end that refuses to lay completely flat. Also, is not very comfortable when standing on it with bare feet.

Great product for the price

Great product for the price. I keep my cat litter boxes outside on my balcony. This durable bath mat makes a great litter catcher rug for in front of the litter boxes and a waterproof barrier to place on top of them. It is also a good bathmat as well, at a bargain price.

neither soft nor flat

Not soft or cushioning on my feet. It is taking days to get the curl out of the rolled up mat so it will be safe. Suction cups don't hold to the tub. Still trying to make it work. Seems sturdy but not good enough to be safe for an older person afraid of falling in the shower.

Mixed message

Does the job but very difficult to keep the mat flat despite the item having suctions on the underside, if we could keep it from curling up it would be fine, it would not be easy or ideal for an elderly person for example. It also took over two weeks for the item to be delivered.

Issue with product being rolled up and getting kinks out
