Best for Round Bar grates
Works well on round bar grates. Not so well on expanded metal grates. It is heavy duty and I recommend for round bar grates

Doesn't clean that well initially
Update Apr 2022. I upgraded my review to 4 stars. Now that I've been using this for over a year it has gotten broken in and a bit more flexible and does a better job of cleaning. I use my grill several times a week so this has seen a lot of use. The helix wires on this one seem to be better made and stronger than similar items, none of them have broken. I also noticed that if it was wet from rain and the grill is hot it does an even better job with a little steam action. Some of the videos for similar brushes say to always wet the brush. Original review: I like the idea of these because I once had a loose brush wire in my meal and it painfully stuck in the roof of my mouth. Could have been worse if I swallowed it. However, this does not get in between the rungs on my grill and leaves a lot of carbon build up. It's well made and should last a long time but I still use my wire brush. I've started using this one after the wire brush to ensure there are no wires left on the grill surface.

Great Bristle Free Brush, but Not as Effective as a Bristle Brush
You have to understand the design of this brush. It is not a standard bristle brush and that is meant as a safety precaution, so you don't accidentally get a bristle in your food. It also seems like it will last longer than a standard bristle brush. However, it does not clean quite as well as a bristle brush, hence the 4 stars and not 5. It has a desire to get stuck or tendency to jump over to the side, due to the way the bristles are intertwined. It has taken some getting used to, but you do get the hang for how you should clean the grill with this brush after some time. I purchased the 16" handle and it is sufficiently long to provide ample leverage.

For SAFETY sake, it is worth it!
I totally agree with the idea of needing a grill cleaning brush without bristles that can break off and get into your food! That is why I bought this brush, and I am glad I did. The brush does not work nearly as well as a bristle brush, but that is ok with me, at least I won't end up in the hospital with a bristle stuck in my throat!!

It does it pretty well actually
A lot of complaints on here about not being able to put a lot of pressure. To be honest why is everyone trying to clean their grill to the point of pristine new? It's a grill. There's going to be char, it's why you clean it once a year at the end of summer. This brush knocks all of the major debris and leftover food. It does it pretty well actually. While it isn't like taking steel wool to the grill and making it brand new, it also isn't leaving little metal barbs and Bristle like my other brushes were. I get it, the injury from those is rare, but why take the chance just for a little bit extra clean? So far I've liked this product a great deal and have had it for about 2 and half months while grilling at least every other day if not more.

Made very well
Love this grill grate cleaner. I was so tired of getting metal splinters from the usual brushes. This one takes a little more elbow grease to get the grates clean, but it is so worth it. Have used before and they last a really time.
