Tricky install but worth it
Very pretty looking lock. It took a little bit of time to install and program but it’s worth it. I love it and works great.

Good quality, but not the easiest to program
I put this install off for a while, because I couldn't get the code to save and work with the lock. It turned out the instructions were wrong. It was telling me to enter 23456 as a default code, but the actual default code was 123456. I tried it randomly and I was able to get my code in. The install itself was pretty straight forward and seemed very sturdy with a rubber gasket on the outer part of the lock and a metal support plate on the back side. The touch screen is pretty responsive and the code works every time. There is also an option for right hand swing or left hand swing. You can also lock it manually if needed. This is a great lock overall, once you get past the initial programming.

Functional lock
It took almost 2 hours to install this. Somehow the posts that connect the front and the back plate were not properly aligned, and the first attempt to install it resulted in the screw getting stuck. I thought it was a threading issue so I removed it. After several tries at aligning it, I finally got both screws in. You have to screw in both a bit a time and not one followed by another and not tighten them until both are in. I still wasn't able to really tighten the mounting plate with the 2 screws attached to the post, so I had to use the optional middle hole just to get the plate to stay in place. Also, ensure that you set the L/R switch - it was at the Right setting by default. I didn't notice that at first and the functionality was reversed - ie. lock will unlock and vice versa. I had to take the back off to set the switch. The instructions need to be a bit clearer. They should separate the installation and programming. It seems they were trying to cut costs with the instructions by combining them. The order of the steps can be improved. The programming instructions could also be clearer. The default 1234 key is removed once you put in your own code. You have to use user id 02 for your first code since 01 is the default and I couldn't reprogram 01 until I programmed 02. Function wise, you need to touch something first to 'wake' up the panel. If you start with a 4-digit code, it doesn't recognize the first number. It takes a bit of getting used to. The zero being on the side instead of the bottom like most number pads also takes getting used to.

A sturdy well built Electronic Deadbolt at a good price
I chose this electronic deadbolt in the classic style because I knew it would look good against the existing door color as can be seen in the picture. The price-point is perfect for a basic electronic deadbolt and it has adequate functions needed to protect your home or office. Installation was not difficult and I got the hardware installed and aligned in 45 minutes. The documentation that came in the package is very clear but if anyone needs additional guidance there are internet videos that provide the steps if you want to do-it-yourself. Care should be taken when aligning the strike plate and the latch to ensure proper operations and the electronic motor can function properly without any resistance. If you are not mechanically inclined and not installed a deadbolt before this could be a challenge. So to avoid the frustration and call a locksmith or a friend who can do it. The deadbolt takes four AA batteries (not included). I used new alkaline batteries to get a baseline of how long they will last with average use. The biggest issues I encountered is on the electronic side. The documentation for programming the deadbolt is very confusing (and I am an IT professional with several decades of experience programming apps). I watched a couple videos online and was able to get a much clearer explanation on the steps to program the deadbolt. Another issue I encountered is the sensitivity of the keypad. Several times my finger touch was not registered and so I had to start the programming all over again or renter my code to lock and unlock the door. It could be that I do not apply enough pressure for the touch to be recognized. I will monitor this as time goes by. The deadbolt has a solid construction and good value. I will be monitoring the mechanical wear and tear as well as electronic issues and the life of the batteries over time. I will post updates over the next few months.

Good product
I gave this to my parents for their house, my stepfather told me it was very easy to install(he is a contractor). It has been installed on their front door for about a month almost now, and still hasn’t had any battery problems yet. I hear that the battery is the biggest problem with these types of locks, I’m not sure about which brands… But so far so good on this one and it says that it will give you a warning as the battery starts to get low, but that has not happened yet. so as long as you don’t wait and you replace the batteries as soon as you get the warning then you shouldn’t have a problem.

Love it
This is a really nice lock set. I love it. It was not difficult to install at all. I would recommend this lock. It is very sturdy and the color is AWESOME.

Good quality lock that is easy to install if your pre-existing holes are properly spaced
I've been migrating our door locks to electronic locks for convenience, but will only consider locks that have a key as a backup. I'm also not interested in wifi or bluetooth connectivity in my locks, so this deadbolt is perfect. Having previously installed and replaced deadbolts, doorknobs, locks, etc. I found this easy to install. Start to finish it was a 20 minute job from removing the old deadbolt to installing and setting up this new one. It is attractive looking, although not as nice looking as others. For the price though, you really can't go wrong. This one didn't go on an exterior door, it went on a closet door we like to keep locked because it has cleaning supplies, some tools, box cutters, etc. and keeping children away from this is important to us. You get everything you need for installation on a pre-drilled door as well as two keys. It runs on four AA cells (not included) and the keypad is illuminated. I would prefer a nice white backlight (personal preference), but hey, this still looks good and does the job. I'm definitely pleased with it.
