A simple and beautiful classic for your kitchen. Heavy-duty!
I was impressed when I unboxed this and saw how elegant, yet sturdy, it was. I’d originally thought I might use it to make yogurt in the slow cooker, but instead, I have been using it for various other purposes, such as serving the cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving. It’s just a good all-purpose dish that looks nice on the table or countertop. Of course it’s a soufflé dish, but I don’t make those. Think casseroles, cakes, vegetable or potato recipes such as scalloped potatoes, perhaps as a small fruit bowl on the counter. If you buy it, you’ll use it.

Nice dish
It's the perfect size for my Vortex Air Fryer. I don't have a working oven anymore so I rely heavily on my air fryer and instant pot. This works in both. Have only used it once but it seems to be well made and is not lightweight. I think this will work well for me for quite some time.

Seemed Well Made, Not a Quality Product-Revised
This item seemed to be quite well made and sturdy upon arrival. However it had a bare spot on the glaze inside about half way from the bottom to the top. This was quite obvious and about the 1/10th inch across. I would never use this for food due to the almost certain contamination from the bare, uncoated ceramic. I emailed the manufacturer about my concerns and 4 days later have not received a reply. This is being returned and another brand of the same style purchased to replace it. I also am saving about $4 by switching away from the HIC brand. Too bad they are too busy to address their defective products. Edited to Add: HIC did reply to my original email and automatically shipped me a replacement, which arrived today, 7-6-18. It is well glazed and does not have any flaws like my original purchase. I have revised my original 1 star rating to 4 instead of 5 due to the quality control and slow email contact.

Fits inside a 6 qt Instant Pot, better tasting food
I like to prepare foods like oatmeal and rice using the pot-in-pot method in my pressure cooker. I had a been using a "stainless steel" pot designed for this purpose but over time, I noticed a metallic taste creeping into the food. On inspecting the metal pot, I could see that it was beginning to degrade. This ceramic souffle dish is a much better solution. Easy to clean, can be used in a standard oven, attractive.

perfect for souffles
Great for souffles. I love the depth. The color is fine too. The only problem is that it arrived with a small chip. The chip is just cosmetic, but for the money I would have appreciated one without it.

HIC 7.5 INCH PORCELAIN SOUFFLE DISH
This one is a winner and what a great price. My sister broke my fifteen year old French white clay soufflé dish last summer, and I have been searching for a replacement with the same qualities since then. This one works beautifully, and at a fraction of the price I had paid. . . . okay, so the HIC one is made in China, and mine was made in France. . . . still quite a steal.

Great size
This souffle dish is a great size for baking foods. It is also the perfect size for my 6 qt Instant Pot for pressure cooking. I am pleased with my purchase, and it will make cooking some foods easier in the Instant Pot. It is also perfect for desserts and casseroles in the oven.
