Spenco Walker/Runner Review
These were recommended by my shoe repairman who says he wears them on a daily basis. He walks to work and returns home wearing them and is on his feet all day. I bought a pair and found they are excellent and as recommended. This purchase is the result of my personal use of these cushions.

Could be thicker to provide more cushion.
Wish they were a little thicker. Doesn’t provide the cushion I was looking for.

Just buy them!!!
I had been using the regular green Spenco insoles for 13 years after discovering them while doing a lot of running in the Army Reserve. I was at a Foot Locker buying expensive running shoes and fell victim to the dreaded upsell because I had already decided to buy expensive shoes and figured -what's another $15 or whatever they cost at the time? That turned out to be an epiphany because I was so impressed by the insoles that I've purchased at least 50 pairs since. I'm a sneakerhead and I factor in the cost of an extra set of Spenco insoles with every new shoe purchase. I primarily buy shoes with removable insoles with that in mind, and when the insoles are glued in (think Vans slip-ons), I actually scrape them out and lay in a pair of Spencos. What leads me to this review is that the most recent time I went to buy some insoles for some new sneakers I copped while in Europe, the regular green ones that I always buy were out of stock in my size. I took a chance on these red ones and they are every bit as good as the green ones. They might feel a little better than the green ones but that may be a placebo effect. Each one teach one, and if you haven't been turned on to Spenco insoles, give them a try and tell a friend. Don't be cheap with your feet.

Works well in narrow shoes
I swapped out the original insoles from New Balance 990s for these, and they are so much more comfortable. I didn’t have much pain to relieve, but I can walk and stand longer with less fatigue. Nice support for my high arches and they fit in my AA width shoes with no fussy trimming.

Great for walking on concrete all day.
I love these insoles. So much that i bought my dad a pair for Christmas. I work in a warehouse environment walking on concrete all day and my knees and back were starting to aches and my heels and forefoot would kill me by the end of the day after i switched to wearing boots for durability. I started out by buying a pair of spenco heavy duty insoles- and they did help at first, but then my forefoot started to feel much for stress because of the elevated heel on those. Don't get me wrong, those were very good and did help alot for impact absorbtion, but it wasn't exactly as good as i felt it could get. I decided to go with these and i dont have any of the problems i had before. I now have the comfort in my boots as i did when i was wearing nike free runs, before the sole started coming off from the conditions. The forefoot is thicker than the heavy duty spencos, and the heel is lower. They make for good even impact absorption and comfort. As far as my foot type, my shoe size is 9.5, 4" wide at the forefoots widest point, i have medium arches, and weigh about 155lbs. The only thing I'd like to see added to these is a rigid arch support with the same impact absorting materials. I've also tried spenco heavy duty, complete comfort (gel), and max support. I find these the best for my purposes. The gels being my least favorite.

Hands down, the best insole I have found in my life
I tried many different brands of insoles over a decades or so. I have worked 56 years and and still love to do my private field research of wildlife. I have worn out many pairs of boots over the years. I finally found the best insoles.

Good for the price.
I spend a ton of time on my feet. Most shoes have insufficient arch support for my needs, so I'm always putting various insoles in my shoes. These hold up pretty good, even with an occasional wash. If washed often, their cloth surface will begin to peel up and make the insole worthless. These do hold up much longer than some other brands.

Affordable protection from foot, heel & knee injuries
Most people spend big on good footwear to fix aching feet and joints that their old 'cheap' shoes didn't. In the majority of cases, there is a marginal improvement. Surprisingly these more expensive shoes come with cheap wafer thin foam insoles that do nothing to absorb the weight bearing impact of day to day activities. Hence the aching feet. This is where I have found these insoles make a huge difference and I have introduced them to my own family and friends with good results. They are well made, don't come apart at the seams and are long lasting. Good for simply walking shoes or sporting runningware.

Fantastic for being on feet all day
I've been a fan of these insoles for a long time and was sad when Footlocker stopped selling them. These changed the game for me when I was working retail in a shop with a concrete floor. After a shift my knees and hips would be killing me. Then an older construction worker told me they were the best he's ever used and he'd tried them all. I gave them a shot and knee and hip pain was gone. I couldn't believe it. The men's 8-9 fit perfectly into my size 10 Vans and 9.5 Converse. I recommend them to anyone I know. Now I do bartending and serving and still swear by them. So grateful these are available on Amazon now.

Comfortable ...
These are good for people with high arch. I like them because of that and they are comfortable (to me). I removed the insoles from my hiking shoes (which were not bad at all) because I felt that I could use some additional arch support. Feel great. But everybody is a unique case in terms of shoes and insoles.

These insoles are not as good as Spenco's green cross trainer insoles
These insoles are not as good as Spenco's green cross trainer insoles. That is why I only gave them 2 stars. The green tops I have been using for years and in my opinion a better insole which also happen to be slightly cheaper.
