Nice Shower Head and a Great Value

I decided to take a chance on this shower head. The price seems to be too good to be true, but many of the shower heads on the market are all hype and their poor performance does not justify their high cost. I know because I bought this shower head to replace one that only lasted three years and it cost three times as much. The flow-restrictor was easy to remove. Just first remove the rubber washer/screen and pull the restrictor out with needle nose pliers and then replace the rubber washer/screen. Installation was very easy except that the shower head did NOT come with Teflon tape. Fortunately, I had some in stock. The most time consuming part was removing the old Teflon tape and installing the new. Once that was done, the new shower head just screwed right on. Hand tightened as far as I could and then used a wrench to tighten another quarter turn. Turned on the water and had a beautiful strong rainfall shower with no leaks. Can't say how long it will last, but at this price, I'm not concerned. UPDATE: I found that taking the flow restrictor caused this shower head to use to much water, but with the flow restrictor in, the water flow was too weak. Then I noticed that the flow restrictor was three pieces. An outside red piece and an inside metal piece held in place by a white piece. If I remove the white piece and the metal piece, then reinstall ONLY the red piece of the restrictor, the flow is "just right". The red piece alone is sort of a "half restrictor".

This rain head operates as it should producing a nice flow. I wanted a more powerful flow. So, I did as another reviewer suggested. I took out the washer & screen with a needle nose pliers. Then I removed the red water restrictor button. Put the washer & screen back in. Installed shower head. This gave the unit a nice forceful flow.

Decent for the money. Pressure is really low though.

I am a self considered showerhead snob. I like flow and pressure together such that I am invigorated after taking a shower. If you're like me just go to the search bar and look up Speakman anystream and splurge for one of those. This is probably not what you're looking for. This shower head I bought because I was moving and didn't want to let my showerhead go. For that this served the purpose well. It looks nice and I'm sure the buyers saw a brand new rain shower head and went "ohh". I used this maybe a dozen times during the move out. At first I installed it with the flow restrictor present and it did not impress me much. Frustrated, I removed the flow restrictor and finally got a decent shower for those last few days I was there. The house it was in has old style 70's seperate hot and cold valves with no restriction what so ever other than what 1/2" pipe could move. Plus it's single story so I can see why other reviewers are frustrated with this in a low pressure or flow house. This thing, without the flow restrictor, was a hot water heater drainer I will say that. If you're at all eco or dollar conscious this might not be the way to go. Overall the quality is great for the price and this probably works better than most shower heads you can buy at a home improvement store for similar money. If you like a slow drizzle of water then this is probably good for you. If you want more pressure this is definitely not for you.

It's a great, cheap shower head. Works well and was delivered quickly. I just wish it came with the tape to help it get a good seal.

Great water pressure

Like some reviewers, I was disappointed with the water pressure. I guess some people like the light rain shower feel but I prefer a healthy stream of water. It was simple to resolve - just remove the flow restrictor that is behind the shower screen/washer that is required by federal law. You need a small screw driver or ice pick to get the restrictor out - easy to do. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars is that there are no rubber nozzles to remove calcification. It will likely plug up with our hard water soon and I'll have to replace it.

Worth Every Nickel

The media could not be loaded. This shower head is a true "Rain shower" head, not a "high pressure" head. This means that if you have low water pressure, you may not like it. For those of us with normal or better water pressure, it is great. It supplies a gentle shower that doesn't sting your skin and won't put out an eye. I love it; seriously, if my shower stall was big enough, I'd drag in a lawn chair and cooler of beer and never be heard from again. I've posted a video of the shower in action; it's a bit like watching paint dry, but may give you an idea what this shower head is like with normal water pressure.

Great shower head and value for your money.

My son wanted another product that was larger than this one. When he tried it for the first time he said he liked it! He said that there was more pressure with this one than his old one.

Good shower but does not come with any arm and I had to spend additional RS 1500 for the arm. Quality of shower is 5 star.

Overall good. NOT 2.5 gpm but 1.75 gpm. Low flow rate, over 12 inch = very low pressure.

Product description says 2.5 gpm. It is NOT 2.5 GPM. Looks good, build quality looks good My girlfriend complained about the pressure, mainly for rinsing her hair. I too felt it was kind of light. So I took on to remove the water flow rate limiter. To my surprise it was a 1.75 GPM (purple/pink-ish) Water Nymph water limiter. That is 30% less water than advertised. Surprisingly, theses 14mm flow rate limiter look super cheap but are hard to find and expensive

VFM and decent quality at first use.

Nice product for the money. - Value for money. Quality appears good, have to see how it holda against oxidation/rust in long term. Will post an edit in 3 months time. Feels sturdy, and heavy. Flow is smooth and is able to handle high pressure in my place.

Good value

Great for the money but you do get what you pay for. Water pressure is fine and not any different or less than the previous Delta showerhead I had. However the quality of the spray is noticeably lower than my old one. This one has a very minor choppiness/pulsating water flow compared to a very even spray from a name brand product but I would not pay more than double to avoid that minor annoyance.
