Why NO wrench for the tightening flange????

I've always been a big Dewalt fan but now I'm beginning to realize that they are no different than any of the "big names" and only consider their bottom line on the profit and loss statement.....but, to be so cheap and not even include the two-prong wrench for tightening the flange....WTF Dewalt???? Shame on you....!!

Love the size for multiple disks, the trigger is great easy to start, lock and unlock . I use it to fabricate and cut brackets, exhaust flanges and tube frames for automotive use.

Grinder was so good I had to buy it 4 times…..no regrets. Concrete and welding are my crafts and they all work amazing with a lot of power.

A Legit Monster. Ate thinset without even hesitating

Can't even explain how much work this saved me. Thinset is annoying and there is only two ways to deal with it. 1. Rip up the whole subfloor and replace it 2. Buy this angle grinder with (DWE46152) Dust shroud and (DW4774) Diamond cup 4 inch grinding wheel. Extras- Shop VAC with a P100 rated mask.. Don't breath this stuff in! Option 2 was soooo much easier. It's really helpful to have a friend there walking the shop vac and your power cord with you. If you don't have a friend it still beats ripping the whole subfloor up. My father who is a P1 Contractor and who renovated a lot of bathrooms in his day was my helper. He was floored by this tool and said he wish he had one back in the day for all the bathroom floors he redid. There is not a lot of info on how to take up thinset from subfloor. I did hours of research to find the best way.. Here it is. Hope it helps. Hint- The nut that is used to hold the grinding wheel on the tool.... Must go on first and then! You put the grinding cup wheel on. By doing this it allows the cupped wheel to sit flush with the brushes on the shroud so the tool can eat properly.

This is the best dewalt grinder.

Do you ever wonder why this one cost an extea $100? This is a true 4.5-6 " grinder, it even comes with a 6" guard. Unlike the cheaper priced units, it has the power to actually use a 6 inch disk. With a smaller body diameter to boot. its easy to grip and manipulate this grinder. It has no auto brake, which is excellent for feathering the throttle and detail work. People who like auto brakes on their grinders are either home users or novices when it comes to dressing. These things last for years of heavy use only requiring new brushes from time to time... $10 and about 5 minutes to change.

Failed within 8 months

Great ergonomics weight feel and handling design. Just stop working during a cleanup pass on a coupon during a welding test. Hardly what you would call a demanding application. However this tool along with all of our grinders get used hard on the job site. We have several DeWalt grinders of various sizes models corded and cordless. This was the first to fail. The second was a 5-6 inch corded brushless with brake grinder. That one just stopped working too while doing routine cleanup. That model was less than 3 months old. The other six DeWalt grinders of various models are all within a year old and they're all still working. Time will tell if we continue to buy, as a company DeWalt tools or if we go back to makita's.

These are sweet grinders. We call them rat tail grinders. I’ve had about three of these. I’m a welder and I’ve used a lot of different grinders. These are the tits. They stand quite a bit of abuse and are heavy duty. The 6” guard is awesome to have. You can get these grinders into some tight spaces other grinders can’t reach because of the narrow handle and body, which is why we call them rat tails. They are easy to use one handed as well. They are relatively light in the hands and you can run them for a long time without your hands getting numb from vibration. With daily use in a heavy duty welding shop.....and I mean a lot of use you should get a couple years out of one if not more if taken care of. And no I’m not grinding my welds cause they’re ugly. A grinder is probably the most important tool to a welder other than the welder itself. I will continue to buy these until they don’t make them anymore. And out of the 14 welders in my shop I’d say 12 use these. The other 2 don’t know any better yet.

Terrific

Best birthday present ever (I made to myself). It's worth going for the trigger rather than the paddle switch. It take a bit to get used to but, having the adjustable guard is a time saver, not requiring to remove the disk everytime. Note that you can switch adjustment mode by flipping the lever ... the quick adjust is even better. Note that here are 3 guard sizes: 4.5", 5" and 6"
