First try with slip-on shoes... very great surprise

Friend recommended this kind of shoe for massage visit. I never wear shoes that cannot be laced up, I prefer a tightly tied shoe or boot. I tried on friend's recommendation. I have very wide and very thick feet, so shoes "off the shelf" are not always working for me. But in the past, Skechers have worked well, and these delivered as well. The foam padding is excellent, great cushioning and support at the same time. The tread looks to be very sturdy and durable. The toe box, while plenty wide enough for my very wide feet, was a little thin, so that on the outside edges, my foot is tight in the top and bottom. But for my use, wearing to and from car three times a week to massage, works fine. I enjoy the functionality of the slip on shoes, will buy this kind again. Always can recommend Skechers brand, the padding and comfort are usually very top level.

A Sketch on Sketchers

Happily, these Sketchers Loafers proved to be more than what I expected. First of all, due to the design they are "Slip on and go". I was able to slip them on without touching the shoes just as they came out of the box -- with no breaking them in at all. The shoes came in a proper shoebox, and a pair of those forms that keep the shoes from getting out of shape or to avoid collapsing altogether enroute...a nice touch, I thought I guess the best thing I can say about this pair of loafers is that they were a perfect fit for my size 10 wide foot, I ordered the extra wide for the first time ever and it proved just right for me. I wish I had been doing so regularly. The feature I had not expected was the air-cushion-feel. They compare favorably to a pair of very expensive air cushion athletic shoes that I once bought. The look of the shoe is more in the flavor of an athletic shoe, too, while maintaining the lightness and comfort of a loafer. The cherry on top for me was that these Sketchers cost less than fifty bucks. The pair of Sketchers I have worn for the last two years of rough daily use, and a lot of walking and slipping them on and off many times a day...they still look good, and I can't seem to wear them out. They are like that pink electric bunny with the uppity attitude. These shoes just keep going...and going...ang going. I expect to get the same long life out of these new Sketchers, as well. Hope this may be of help to someone.

Love these shoes, light and comfortable

I have a few different color schemes of these shoes. They are stylish, light and comfortable. I really like not having to tie laces that come undone while walking ... hate that. And yes, a double knot eliminates that, but to me, it's a pain going through all of this just to keep shoes on and take them off. If you wear a wide shoe, definitely order wide. I have a pair that's regular sized and I can wear them, but they're tight. My first pair has lasted a long time, finally wearing out the inside of the heal, but I still wear them. Have never had a problem with them accidentally coming off, even with biking and hiking. Have washed them about 6 times without them falling apart.

Comfortable with thick sole

Like that it has a good thick cushioned sole not like other shoes where the sole is so thin you may as well be walking barefoot. If you stepped on a nail in these shoes it probably wouldn't penetrate to your foot and you wouldn't notice it unless the nail was stuck in your shoe and you looked at the bottom for some other reason. They easily slip on and stay on your feet and don't flip flop like other slip on shoes. No tying laces saving time and no lace indents in the top of your feet from tying laces too tight to keep shoes on.

Good shoe, walks well, very comfortable, but not as slip on as I would like

As the headline says I feel this is a good shoe. I am happy I made the purchase. I wear size 14 and it has a very nice stable step to it. Look is good. One minor detractor: ease of step in. The tonge of the shoe and the heal tab take a little more management than I would prefer. If I just step into them (without a shoe horn) the heel tab folds in typically. That may improve as I continue to wear them, but it is something that I noticed. Additionally the tongue corner has folded in a couple of times.

Great shoe

I have owned about four pair of these shoes and just bought two more because the price has dropped down A LOT I absolutely love these shoes the only problem I ever had with them is the bottom of the shoe actually starting to come off of the shoe just because wearing it so much and so long I guess but have to say a great shoe and nothing that a little bit of gorilla glue super glue didn't fix

Comfortable Laceless Sport Shoes

The Sketchers pull-on Afterburn loafer is a very nice looking shoe, and most important--extremely comfortable! I ordered the 10.5 Extra-Wide version and was not disappointed, the narrower standard width size is true to fit (I tried a pair of those too), but if you have a wide foot--get the "extra-wide" version. There is a bit of slipping in the heel in both pairs due to the loafer design. Satisfied customer!

Great budget-friendly shoe

My husband loves these and has probably owned 10 pairs in varying colors with/without laces over the years. He wears a 14 wide and they fit perfectly. That said, they are Sketchers and you get what you pay for so have reasonable expectations. A better quality pair of shoes (Merrell, Keen, HOKA, Brooks, etc.) will last him a year or longer, but he only gets 3-4 months of daily wear out of anything Sketchers makes before they start to break down, especially with the memory foam footbed.

Awesome shoes!

I have been looking for some time for a decent pair of slip-on (no laces) runner/hikers in my size (14xwide). Something that looks good, fits well, and doesn't break the bank. I am a large man, and I have some mobility issues, particularly with bending all the way over to tie the laces on a regular pair of shoes. As a result, I wanted something that I could easily slip on for short uses outside without having to go through that discomfort again and again. These Sketchers fit the bill (almost) perfectly. These are VERY nice and GREAT quality shoes! They are easy to slip on, yet fit snugly enough so as not to feel loose or floppy. They are exactly what I have been searching for, with one small issue only. I realise that obviously everyone's foot/fit is different, and my one complaint is that although these are indeed extra wide, they do not carry that width far enough down the bed of the shoe to be perfect for me. The toe bed narrows towards the tip more than I feel it should, and this is the only reason I cannot give 5 stars. I find that my toes are still a little stuffed together more than they should be for an Xwide. These are my 3rd differnt style of Sketchers, and I have found this same problem with all 3, to varying degrees. However, in this case, it is not enough of a discomfort that I am unwilling to continue wearing them, or even be willing to buy another pair. The icing on the cake is the price. For me to be able to find a pair of shoes I like the style of, in my size (and just about width) and type (slip-on) for $75 Canadian, is absolutely unheard of. I am pleasantly surprised and extremely happy, and as I said, we're it not for the toe bed being a bit narrow for me, I would give this purchase a solid 10 out of 5 stars.????
