what more can you say for a pin.

They are difficult to use with cotton calico or broadcloth. They are sturdy, but they can be difficult to pin cloth.

Good pin but large head

Good pin. Sharp points. The head of the pin was larger than I thought it would be making ironing a challenge. Shipped quickly.

These are the best needles. I love them and work perfect for my quilt projects. I disagree that one expects every needle to be perfect. No matter the company, when you are buying bulk needles you have to expect not all will be perfect. If you want every needle to be perfect then don’t buy bulk. It’s common sense. I’ve been using these for years and there are always a handful that are dull. If they are bending in half it’s more than likely bc one is trying to force the needle into the project. I highly recommend these needles for quilting and sewing ????

Great for model making.

Although most of the reviews for these pins are from their use with sewing mine will not be. I specifically purchased them to assist me with a model making project. I had purchased a Guillow's Focke-Wulf FW-190 Model Kit . There are many delicate and fragile Balsa wood pieces. The pieces can only be held in place while the glue dries with a temporary pointed stake. These X-Long Ball Head Pins are exactly what I needed. The 300 count box ensured I had plenty of supports for each phase of the model build. The 1 1/2 inch length of each pins shaft made it easy to see were to place the point and keep my fingers out of the way. The round plastic head also simplified pushing the point so as to anchor the pin in the Balsa wood. At one phase of the project I must have had over 200 of the pins in use holding together wing struts and fuselage bulkhead's. Upon un-pining them I did count approximately 5-6 that had the round head pull free. I wasn't irked by this issue as I had more than enough pins and the pins still held the pieces tightly together. The price was reasonable for the 300 pin count.

Not very sharp.

I agree that these are sturdy pins but I found mine to be not very sharp. It was difficult to use them pinning multiple layers together.

Great quality. Great price.

I love these pins. I've used them for holding quilting pieces together, and for every other type of sewing project that I needed pins for. They're long enough to go through several layers of fabric, but not too long as to cause them to be in the way or catch on my fabrics. They're easy to see and handle, and they don't bend when I'm needing to pin together several layers of fabric, regardless of what type of fabric I'm working with. Singer brand is the way to go. They're top quality at a great price. They never disappoint me.

Not very sharp

I researched to get the sharpest pins available. These are not. In fact several are blanks and have no point at all. Keep looking!

I loved the length and colored heads but the first two ...

I loved the length and colored heads but the first two pins I tried would not go through the three layers of polyester I was using. Fortunately the next ones did. Unfortunately they are not as sharp as what I was using.
