Worked fine for me into wood framed windows but included tool useless
The included tool fit exactly 3 of the 25 screws. That's ridiculous! Fortunately I read reviews saying it didn't fit and caused failures so I used a deep socket that was the correct size and fit much better. I had to use the included tool for the 3 that fit since they were slightly smaller and the socket I had which was a little bigger. Insane that they can't get the size correct on these, terrible quality control. Other than they they worked well. I didn't use the included drill bit either since it was designed for cement and I was drilling in wood. If you correctly pre-drill the holes and use a socket that fits the screws they work well. I didn't have any fail on me. They are a nice design, a little over priced and the poorly engineered. Still giving 4 stars because they are the best around for the job at hand when installing hurricane panels over wood framed windows.

Simpson quality
I was impressed by the quality of the parts. Easy to install with the well made driver that came with the kit. I would recommend this.

They work, but somewhat difficult to install
These fasteners work well, but be careful if you are securing them into concrete. I snapped several of them in half while installing them. As they go into the concrete, the drill slows way down. If you don't stop, then they will bend and shear off. You have to back them off several times and send them back in. Some of them simply will not go in all the way and, after some experience, I learned that if you continue to force them they will shear off. Therefore, I had to shorten some of them by about 3/8 inches. The good news is that they cut pretty easily with a hacksaw. I also do not like how short the caps are. Another 1/4 inch longer would be helpful. That would have allowed me to leave more of the fastener exposed and made installation easier. Finally, I found that some of the fasteners were loose when finished and I could jiggle them a bit. I suppose that the constant backing off and re-sending them in stripped out the concrete on some of them. I found that wrapping a short piece of duct tape around the treads and reinstalling them tightened them right up. I'm sure none of this would be an issue if you were drilling them into wood.

Better Picture and Description
Just received two sets and compared it to non-stainless type. Thought others might appreciate some initial feedback and pictures. The package comes in a nice plastic container with snap lid. The drill bit, nut driver for the drill, screws, wingnuts and covers are included. I compared the stainless to a painted screw. They are exactly the same size; length (3 1/2 inch) and thickness at lower thread that goes into the wall (17/64 inch). The top threads for the wingnuts on the stainless are machined better. I prefer stainless as I live in Florida otherwise I would have used the less expensive version.

Good Quality
These seem relatively solid and the threads are well machined. My box says it is made of 302 SS not 304SS as indicated. Not sure if that matters based on my research but I feel confident that these will work well to secure my hurricane panels. I gave them one star less because I forgot to blow out the dust in the first drilled holes and my cordless makita 18V put a slight bend in the shaft when it hit base. The bit provided to drive the screws in is solid and works well.

Poor quality control
I purchased 4 boxes of these storm panel screws and out total of 100 screws 28 of them the supplied driver will not fit on the end of the screws. That's 7 out of each box. Filing the ends of them to fit the driver will take you forever so use a dremel tool. Will see how they hold up in a year
