Nice alternative to hog rings
I use the Lem's one pound bag for sausage making and typically use stainless steel hog rings. I switched over to tape and use this machine to seal my packages of sausage. The tape machine works as intended with no issues. I have found other uses for the tape sealer like sealing single loaf bread bags and general longer term storage bags. The initial set up can be tricky if you have never used this type of sealer as the tape has to be positioned properly in the jaws. No issues with size or tipping that I have not had with other non mounted tape machines.

Best thing I've bought recently
It has a learning curve but once you get the proper technique down it is a game changer. It saved more than an hour packaging just one cow. Has held up through 2 cows and 5 pigs so far. Tape last far longer than I expected.

Works great
We bought this and 100 bags. Family and I bagged 80lbs of hamburger. It only malfunctioned a couple times and it was probably my fault. It took a few bags to get the hang of it but once I did, it went very well. I’m definitely going to buy more bulk hamburger and bag it up again.

The Product Works the Company Does Not
Received the item and found that a plastic washer that was supposed to be included for use was missing. I reached out to Weston via their web site twice and never received any return correspondence from customer service other than a message saying they would contact me within 5 - 7 days. Ordered Jan. 9th and received Jan. 11th. I'm guessing they are swamped or could care less. Today is January 30th and still no contact with the company! I am returning product today and buying from a company that wants my business. Game Bag Sealer
With deciding to “process” our game meat at home, we purchased the Weston Pro Series #12 Meat Grinder, freezer bags, and this! It helped make the process of sealing our elk-filled freezer bags less time-consuming! You twist up the end of your freezer bag and then slide the twisted end through the sealer.. and your done! The only slight downfall is resetting the tape after every freezer bag, but once we got the hang of it, everything was a breeze. We will continue to use it for our home-processing needs!

should have bought this years ago!
We've used this quite a bit during the past month or so, and its great! I'd say the hardest part was putting the tape in the dispenser. Read the directions- its not intuitive, lol. We've made ground from 2 hogs, 5 lambs and 2 deer so far. My 10 year old does most of the sausage bag sealing. Its incredibly easy to use and fun!

Quickly seals bags, once you get the hang of it
We bought this to seal up Halloween treat bags as we get over 400 kids show up at our house for Halloween and it's a big job sealing all those bags. Setting it up so the tape goes into the machine requires some patience as it doesn't work the first couple of times, but once it is in, it works good. It takes a bit of a quick move to seal the bags and have the tape cut in one go. Sometimes the tape doesn't cut.
