Works quite well

Bought this to wrap the insulation tubing covering the tubing to the A/C unit. Easy to use. Made it look like a professional job. My only request would be : it'd be nice if the center cardboard core were a little bit smaller- would help with wrapping in tight spaces. After I used a few yards of the tape this problem was resolved. Would have been nice it it had been small enough at the start of the job. I did find I could cut pieces off the roll and wrap them on so it was workable.

Let's hope the adhesion isn't a sign of UV protection.

Easy to apply. Unfortunately for me, after applying some on AC outdoor unit insulation, the tape started to unstick itself after 24 hours. I made sure my hands and the target surface (ITSELF) was clean. I've had to backup the areas where it was starting to unstick with 3M White duct tape just in case. Only time will tell how it handles the hot SoCal sun and heat so a long term update will be a follow up to this review. On the upside, it is good looking.

Good value; may need to wrap around foam to get the best adhesion

I used this to secure a foam insulation tube (much like a pool noodle) around an HVAC pipe. At first, I thought I could be stingy and run it lengthwise along the seam. Wow, that did not work at all. The tape refused to adhere to the foam. I decided to use the age-old wrapping technique, and that worked like a charm (so far). It took forever to wrap it around the length of two 5' tubes, but I'm pretty sure it'll hold throughout the winter and well into the spring. The material is a bit thinner than I expected, and it will tear easily if punctured (no embedded fiber, so not like duct tape at all). However, if it holds the foam and doesn't crack/fall apart from UV exposure, I will be a happy camper.

Shurtape LS 300 HVAC line set tape

Shurtape LS 300 HVAC line set tape is very thin and is extremely similar to clear packing tape. Might as well buy clear packing tape. Very Disappointed. I thought this product, since it is called line set tape, would be very thick, sticky, and uv resistant like the line set tape my HVAC guy uses, but it is not. I guess you can call it whatever you like. You could also use masking tape for line set tape and call it line set tape. This product is not industry standard to my experience.

Good adhesion

This tape is very thin, just like the plastic packing tape. It seems to have very good adhesion when used on foam pipe in insulation. As to weatherproof, that remains to be seen. Because it does stick well to the foam insulation, removal could damage the foam. The problem with my installation was that the two copper pipes to the AC condenser were too close together to allow for a spiral wrap. Had to cut individual pieces of the tape to wrap around the insulation. Totally dependent on the long term adhesion, hope it holds.

HVAC Line Wrap

Can tolerate the sun? Check. Its tacky and sticks well? Check. Protects the new or existing foam/insulation you put on the line? Check. We had some dated foam on our lines and wanted to replace it and wrap it up to keep it safe and in tact. This stuff does the trick. We also used it to replace the tape in the attic holding the refrigerant line to the beams that in some places had already given out, perfect for that too!

Easy to work with

I covered the foam insulation on my heat pump lines to give them the extra protection from uv rays. Time will tell to see how long it lasts.

Nice product

This tape appears to be as advertised. I used to completely wrap all my exposed line set insulated lines. Only time will tell. One roll is more than enough. It's too bad this is not offered in a 15'-0" or 25'-0" roll, for home owners. I have 98% of a roll left over.

Impossible à trouver dans les magasins au Québec

Le Tape parfais pour recouvrir et protéger les tuyaux de fréons de ma thermopompe, j'ai utiliser 4 rouleaux pour 50 pieds de tuyauteries gazeux et liquides. Je le recommande à tous !

Nothing special about it except very sticky but no more sticky the tuck tape so not worth 20 a roll
